Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
What a Pay Rate Is
A pay rate is what a person costs your business an hour, so you can see what your work really costs (Project Costs). Owners and admins set it on the Staff page: select Edit beside a person, then Pay Rate.
- Hourly rate: what you pay them an hour.
- Salary a year: their yearly salary. For reports it counts as the salary divided by 2,080 hours (40 hours a week for 52 weeks), so a $62,400 salary costs $30.00 an hour.
- Starts: the day the rate starts. Past weeks keep the rate they had, so a raise from next month never changes last month's costs.
Setting a rate for a day that already has one replaces it. Remove takes a rate back. Nothing is ever lost: every rate a person has had stays in their history, removed ones marked, and the Activity Log names each change and who made it.
Who Sees Pay
- Only owners and admins see or change pay rates (actions
core.pay.list,core.pay.set, andcore.pay.remove, permission Manage People). A person's teammates never see it, and neither do they on the Staff page. - AI agents your company connects and API keys can never read or change pay rates, or the costs worked out from them.
Bringing Rates In
Owners and admins can bring rates in from another system (action core.pay.import), each row with the person's email, hourly or salary, the amount, and the day it starts. Each row names its id in the other system, so bringing them in again adds only what is new, and a rate you set here for the same person and day is kept. A rate for someone who has not signed in yet waits for them.
