What's New
Part of the MountDev Ops Workspace documentation. Updated November 5, 2026
MountDev Ops Workspace documentation | Updated November 5, 2026
What's New shows you what changed in MountDev Ops since your last visit, only the changes you can use, in a panel you open when you choose.
Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
Every update passes all 2,733 automated checks before it ships, plus screen tests on 9 screen sizes for everything it changes.
How It Works
Nothing blocks your work and no pop up appears after an update. When something is new for you, a small dot shows on the What's New button in the menu, and on phones in the menu you open from the bottom of the screen. When nothing is new, there is no dot.
Open What's New when you like. The panel opens beside the page on computers and tablets, and fills the screen on phones. Close it any time with the close button or the Esc key.
- New lists everything new for you since your last visit, grouped by app, newest first. Each note is one or two plain sentences.
- History keeps every note you can use, newest first, with a search box that looks through titles, text, and app names.
- Opening the panel marks what you saw as seen, and the dot goes away. Seen notes stay in History.
The actions behind it are core.whatsnew.get (what is new for you, your History, and any big change card you have not dismissed), core.whatsnew.seen (mark what you were shown as seen), and core.whatsnew.card (Got It on a big change card). They are for a signed-in person only, never for an AI agent or an API key.
Only What You Can Use
Each note says who it is for, using the same permission and role checks as the screens. You see a note only if all of these are true:
- Your company has the app the note is about.
- You have access to that app. A person with No access in an app sees none of its notes.
- You can open the screen the note describes, or run the action it describes.
So a regular member never sees a note about something only owners and admins can do, and an owner or admin sees those notes. A note is written for the person reading it, so it never says "the owner can now" to someone who is not an owner. A link you cannot open is never shown.
Every Note Has Two Links
Every note links straight to what changed, opening exactly where the change is (a screen, a setting, or a kind of record), and to its page in these docs. Each link opens the same way the menu does: the screen opens in your workspace without reloading, and the docs page opens in a new tab.
Only What You Will Notice
A note is written only for a change you will see or use. Fixes and changes behind the scenes go in each app's changelog in these docs and do not appear in What's New.
Big Changes Get One Card
A change that alters how you work gets one short card, the first time you open the screen it affects. The card has two buttons:
- Show Me points at the change on that screen.
- Got It closes the card for good.
The card fades in and out, appears once for you, and never appears for people who started using your workspace after the change.
New People
When you first join a workspace, you start caught up. You see notes released after you joined, never older ones. Older notes are still in History.
What Is Stored
Only your own "seen up to" mark and which big change cards you dismissed, in your own account, in your company's own region. The notes themselves come with each release. Nobody else, including owners and admins, can see what you have seen, and this still works on a closed account, because it is only your own setting.
Client Portal Users
People who sign in to a client portal, with no MountDev Ops apps in their plan, never see What's New.
Where Else to Find Updates
Every update, including fixes, appears in each app's changelog in these docs.
