Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

Time in Every App

Time tracking belongs to the workspace, not to one app. An app turns it on for the records where time is spent (Projects turns it on for projects and tasks), and every entry stays with the record it was logged on. Each entry has the person who did the work, the date, the minutes, a note, whether it is billable, and an hourly rate. My Time and Team Time in Projects show time from every app together.

Logging Time

  • See the time on a record (action core.time.list): your entries on it, or everyone's for owners and admins, with the total and billable minutes.
  • Log time (action core.time.log): on a record you can see, from 1 minute to 24 hours, on a date (today if you leave it out). It is billable unless you say not. Leave the rate empty and it comes from the app: in Projects, the project's hourly rate, then the client's hourly rate in Billing, then the default rate in Projects Settings. Owners and admins can log time for anyone in the workspace.
  • Change a time entry (action core.time.change): move it to another record, or change its date, minutes, note, billable, or rate. The note and rate can be cleared. If someone changed it since you opened it, nothing is saved.
  • Delete a time entry (action core.time.delete): it is gone for good.

Everyone sees and changes only their own time. Owners and admins (permission core.time_all) see and change everyone's.

Timers

  • Start a timer (action core.time.start) on a record, with a note and whether it is billable. You have one timer at a time: starting another stops the first and logs its time.
  • See my timer (action core.time.timer): what it is on and how long it has run.
  • Stop my timer (action core.time.stop): its time is logged, rounded up to the minute, at least 1 minute. A timer left running more than a day logs one day, and says so.
  • Discard my timer (action core.time.discard): it stops without logging anything.

Timesheets

  • A week of time (action core.time.week): one person's week, Monday to Sunday, across every app, with each day's total, the billable total, and their running timer. Owners and admins can open anyone's week.
  • Everyone's time (action core.time.team): every person's week by day, for owners and admins. People with no time that week show with none.

Billable Time

Billable time (action core.time.billable) lists the billable entries between two days, optionally for one app, with what each bills to (the project, task, company, and website) and each company's total. Billing reads time in this shape for weekly time invoices. It is for owners and admins.

Bringing Time In

Bring in time entries (action core.time.import) adds time from another system. Each row names its id there, the module and record it is on, the person's email, the date, and the minutes, and can add whether it is billable, a rate, and a note. Entries are kept as they were, even one with no minutes or one longer than a day. Running it again updates the entries it brought before instead of copying them, and never undoes what people did here: an entry someone changed here since it was last brought in is left as it is ("Changed here since the last import"), and an entry someone deleted here is not brought back ("Deleted here"). Entries brought in before this safeguard that have been changed since count as changed here, so nothing is overwritten. Time is never left out for want of a person: an entry whose person has no email address comes in with no person and keeps the name the other system gave, which owners and admins see in Team Time and on the record's time. Rows that do not fit are skipped, each with the reason. In an import file, and in Cascadia's move from the hub, time comes as the core.time module. It is for owners and admins.

Turning Time on in an App

An app turns time on for one of its modules with time: true on the module in its manifest. It can also say what rate new time starts with and what the time bills to. Nothing else is needed.

For AI Agents

Agents can see time on a record, log and change their person's own time, use their person's timer, and see their person's week. They never delete time, see everyone's time or billable time, or bring time in.
