Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
Every update passes all 2,461 automated checks before it ships, plus screen tests on 9 screen sizes for everything it changes.
How We Email You
We email your team only when you can and need to act, so an email from us is always worth opening. What we fix ourselves (updates, failed updates we undid, backups, cleanups) goes to your feed and your monthly report, never your inbox. Website Notifications is in the Account menu, when we look after websites for you.
Three levels:
- Urgent: at once, at any hour. A website down and not back after the minutes you choose, a website listed by Google as harmful, a failed payment, or a known security hole in a plugin we are holding.
- Action Needed: one email a day, at your time, only while you are open by your own Business Hours and in your own time zone (Settings, Business Hours), only when something needs your team.
- For Your Information: a weekly summary of things to plan for, on the day you choose. It starts off.
Each problem is one line across all your websites ("Plugin license expired on 14 sites") with one link, never one email per website. Each task is emailed once, with a reminder after 3 days and another after 7 at most, then it stays on your tasks only. A task you answer (a choice, or Mark Done) is never emailed again. Nobody gets more than one non-urgent email a day unless you raise it. Subjects say what to do and how many websites ("2 sites need you: renew a plugin license").
Every email says why you got it, has a link to these settings, and (except Urgent) a one-click unsubscribe from that level. We never track whether you open an email or click its links. Your clients get only your monthly report.
Your Schedule
- Your Business Hours: your workspace's own Business Hours and time zone, shown here and changed in Settings, Business Hours (owners and admins). The daily and weekly emails come only while you are open, never on a day you are closed.
- Daily Email Time: when the daily email comes, or when you open, whichever is later (10 AM to start).
- Most Non-Urgent Emails a Day: 1 to start, up to 5. Urgent email never counts toward it.
- Reminders: the two reminder days (3 and 7 to start).
- Website Down Counts as Urgent After: 15 minutes to start.
- Urgent During Quiet Hours: send at once anyway (the start), or wait until a person's quiet hours end.
- Weekly Summary: on or off, and its day.
Your Team
Each person on your account with the levels they get. Everyone who may approve work gets Urgent and Action Needed to start; someone who only sees and makes requests gets nothing until you turn it on. Choose Limits sends a person only some problems, some clients, or some websites, and sets their quiet hours. Leave a list empty to send them everything at their levels.
Where It Goes
For each level, Email, Slack, or Webhooks, one or more:
- Slack: add an incoming webhook address for one channel (it starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/). We keep it sealed and never show it again; Remove takes it off.
- Webhooks: see below.
Webhooks Planned
Your workspace's own webhooks (Settings, Connections, Webhooks) get the events notice.urgent and notice.digest, signed and retried, with the counts only, never the words of an email.
Recently Sent
Recently Sent lists the last emails and messages, to whom, and when. Owners and admins change these settings; everyone else sees them.
