Zoho Creator for Custom Apps, Workflows, and Portals

It is an ongoing service for the custom applications you run on the Creator platform: design, building, and upkeep. That covers forms and data models, workflow rules and Deluge scripting, reports and dashboards, portals and mobile access, integrations with your other systems, and the permissions around all of it. Changes arrive as requests on a monthly plan, not as new projects.

Creator is a low code platform for the applications a business needs but cannot buy. Typical examples are job and work order tracking, inspections, inventory, field service, permit and compliance logs, and equipment records. If a process is repeatable, has no product on the market to fit it, and currently lives in a shared spreadsheet, Creator is built for it.

We build it. You describe the process, the records to track, who does what, and what you need to see at the end. We handle the data model, forms, workflows, scripting, reports, and permissions, then walk your team through the result. If someone on your side wants to make their own edits later, we set the app up so that is safe and show them where the edges are.

Yes, and it comes up often. The audit comes first: the data model, the scripts, the workflows, and where shortcuts were taken. After that you get an honest answer on which parts to keep and which to rebuild. Most inherited apps are fixable. A full rebuild is easier for the provider and costlier for you, so we do not quote it by default.

A focused single process app takes two to four weeks from the first conversation to your team using it. An app that spans several departments, with portals and integrations, runs longer, typically six to ten weeks. We build in stages and get a first working version in front of you early, because people describe what they need far better once they can click on something.

Yes. Creator apps run on iOS and Android without a separate build, and we configure mobile layouts so a form is usable on a phone and not a shrunken desktop screen. Offline capture works where crews have no signal, and records sync when they reconnect. Barcode scanning, GPS stamps, and photo capture are available for site and inspection work.

Yes, through portals. A portal user sees only their own records. A client can submit a request and follow its progress, or a supplier can update a job, without seeing anyone else's data. Zoho prices portal access separately, on a user or volume basis, so we check the current terms before you commit. Permissions and the landing screen are our part.

Usually yes. Zoho apps connect natively, so CRM, Books, Desk, and Inventory link with little friction. Outside Zoho, the REST API, webhooks, and middleware cover most accounting packages, payment processors, and industry tools. A system with no API at all gets flagged early, before you have paid for an attempt.

Deluge is the scripting language inside Creator, used when point and click actions cannot do what you need. We write it only where it is warranted and document what each function does and why. The scripts live in your own Creator account. If you ever change providers, the next developer reads commented, working code instead of reverse engineering a black box.

You do. Everything we build lives inside your own Zoho Creator subscription, under your ownership. Apps, data, scripts, and reports stay exactly where they are if you ever change providers. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate and no leverage held over you.

An hourly developer finishes the build and moves on. Each later change means a fresh quote and a wait, which quietly trains your team to stop asking, and the app drifts away from how the business works. On a subscription, changes are part of the service, so requests get made and the app keeps up. The incentive to keep it running well also lands on us.

Growth is normal, and the plan allows for it. Our plans are priced by hours of Zoho work rather than by app, so a second and third process can move onto Creator without a new agreement. When record volumes or user counts approach a Zoho tier limit, we flag it and price the options before a cap interrupts anyone. A process that belongs in a different Zoho app gets named as such, not forced into Creator.

Our plans cover either route. They apply to any mix of Zoho apps, Zoho One or individual, and are priced by hours of Zoho work rather than by users or apps. Whether the Zoho One license itself is worth buying depends on how many apps you use. We look at what you actually run and tell you which side of that line you are on.
