MountDev Ops Workspace documentation | Updated November 5, 2026

The menu shows the apps your company has and the places you use, and it grows as apps are added, without crowding.

Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

Every update passes all 3,243 automated checks before it ships, plus screen tests on 9 screen sizes for everything it changes.

The Menu

On computers and tablets, the menu waits behind the menu button at the top left of the page. Press it and the menu opens over the page. Press Esc, the close button, or anywhere outside it, and it closes and puts you back on the menu button. While it is open, Tab moves only through the menu.

On a computer 1280 pixels wide or wider, the pin button at the top of the menu keeps it open beside the page. The page makes room for it. Your choice is remembered on that device. There is no slim menu of icons at any size.

At the top of the menu are your name, your company with its data region (press it to switch to another company, each with its own mark), and Search or Jump To. Under them:

  • Favorites are the places you starred: apps and pages (a saved view too, once an app offers them). Press the star beside any item to add it or take it away. You can keep up to 30.
  • Recent shows the last places you opened.
  • Groups hold your apps by what you do: Today, Work, Customers, Money, Websites and Services, Automation, and Settings. Every group collapses. Your choice is remembered on that device.
  • More holds the items you rarely open once the menu has more than ten. Favorites, the page you are on, and new apps never fold into More.
  • Managed Services are in their own section, apart from the things your company uses.
  • All Apps and Services opens the list of apps you have not added yet and the services you can ask for.

The app you are in opens its own pages under it: its modules, your own modules, and Settings last for the people who can change it. With the menu closed, and on phones, those pages are a row of tabs under the header.

What You See

You see an app only if your company has it, its entitlement allows it, and your role gives you access to it. An entry that needs a permission shows to anyone who holds that permission, including people whose custom role or permission group allows it, and to no one else. A new app appears in its own group, marked New for two weeks, and in What's New. It never moves the items that were already there.

The Count

The count on the menu button, and on More on phones, is only what is on you: your unread notices (tickets assigned to you, mentions, messages, and requests waiting on you). It is never a company total.

Phones

On a phone, the bottom of the screen has a bar with up to four of your places (your favorites, otherwise the ones you open most) and More. Every button is at least 44 by 44 points, has a label, and stays clear of the phone's own edges. More opens a sheet that fades in, with search at the top, then Favorites, Recent, the groups, your company, and your account. Close it with the close button, by swiping down on its handle, or by tapping above it. Search is one tap away from every screen, in the header.

What Is Kept

Your favorites, and the places you open (for Recent and for folding rarely used items into More), are kept in your own account, in its data region, and are yours alone. Nothing is kept in the hub or in code.

For App Builders

An app declares one menu entry in its manifest: nav: { label, group, icon, order, permission, quick }. The core declares its own pages with navPages. Nothing is added to a menu list by hand. The actions behind the menu are core.nav.get (your menu, favorites, recent places, and count), core.nav.favorite (keep a place or take it away), and core.nav.visit (note a place you opened). They are for a signed-in person only, never for an AI agent or an API key.
