MountDev Ops Workspace documentation | Updated October 9, 2026
Who Sees Prices is your company's one rule for who sees prices and dollar amounts in every app: proposal prices and totals, a project's budget, hourly rate, and billable amount, time entries' rates, and a CRM deal's amount.
Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
Where to Find It
Owners and admins find the Who Sees Prices card on Proposals' Settings page, the last item of Proposals' menu. Everyone in your company can see the rule and whether they see prices (action core.prices.get), and so can AI agents. Only an owner changes it, with Change Who Sees Prices (action core.prices.save). Every change is in the activity log.
The Choices
- Owners and Admins (at first, so nothing changes until you choose): owners and admins see prices and amounts. Members see everything else without them.
- Owners Only: only owners see prices and amounts. Admins and members see proposals, projects, and deals without them, whatever else they may do.
Members never see prices and amounts. Your client always sees the prices on their own proposal, from its link and its PDF.
What Someone Who Cannot See Prices Sees
- Proposals: each proposal without prices and totals, with a Prices hidden label. They can change everything but prices: a line they keep keeps its price, and a line added from your products takes the product's price (Writing Proposals).
- Projects: a project without its Budget and Hourly rate, and without the Billable amount tile. Time entries show without their rate, and the time form has no rate. Projects Settings show no default hourly rate. Hours, hours budgeted, and billable hours always show.
- CRM: a deal without its Amount. The deals board, the CRM home page, and the numbers worked out for a company, contact, or deal show counts without dollar amounts. A report that adds up or averages amounts shows how many records instead, and a report grouped or filtered by an amount is refused.
- Everywhere: the records screens, a record's history, exports, and the workspace search leave out the fields that hold prices. Percentages and hours always show.
Someone who cannot see prices cannot set them either: changing a project's budget or hourly rate, a deal's amount, or a time entry's rate is refused with a plain message naming the field.
AI Agents and API Keys
An AI agent sees prices only when the person who connected it does. An admin-level API key follows admins, and a member-level key never sees them. Neither can change who sees prices.
