Home and Its Widgets

MountDev Ops Workspace documentation | Updated October 8, 2026

Home is the first page you see when you sign in: a dashboard of widgets, each one supplied by an app your company uses, showing what needs you and how the business is doing.

Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

What Home Shows

Each app brings its own widgets to Home, so Home grows as your company adds apps. A widget shows only when:

  • its app is added to your workspace, with the module it reads turned on;
  • you are allowed to use it (money widgets are for owners and admins, for example); and
  • your role in that app lets you see the records it counts. Every number and every row on Home counts only the records you could open yourself, so Home never shows more than the app does.

Each widget loads on its own, with a thin bar at its top while it gets ready, then fades in. Widgets stay up to date by themselves: when anyone in your company, an automation, or an AI agent changes something a widget shows, that widget refreshes on its own, without reloading the page. Select a row to open that record, ticket, or chat.

When your company has no apps yet, Home shows Your Apps instead, and owners and admins can choose Open Settings to add some.

Home's widgets come from action core.widgets.list, which lists the widgets you may see in your order, and action core.widgets.load, which reads what they show. Neither changes anything. A widget that is not on your Home cannot be read.

Needs You Today

Needs You Today gathers what each app has waiting for you. It shows up to 12 items, overdue items first, then items that are due or waiting, oldest first, then the rest, and says how many more are waiting. Each item names its app and opens where you can act on it.

  • Helpdesk: tickets assigned to you, or to nobody yet, where a client is waiting: New ticket when nobody has answered, Reply due when the client wrote again after your reply. Tickets waiting on the customer are not listed.
  • Chat: website chats waiting for a reply that are yours, or nobody's yet.
  • Projects: your tasks that are due today or overdue, and tasks ready for review in projects you manage (owners and admins see every project's).
  • Proposals: drafts waiting to be approved and sent, for the people who may send proposals.
  • Contracts: contracts you started that are still drafts, waiting to be sent for signature.
  • Invoices: invoice drafts waiting to be approved, for owners and admins, as one item that opens Run Billing.

Ready for Review

Projects starts with the task statuses Not Started, In Progress, Waiting, and Done. To use Ready for Review, an owner or admin adds a status with the word Review in it, such as Ready for Review, to the Tasks module's Status field in Projects' Settings. A task shows on the widget, and in Needs You Today for the project's manager, while its status has that word and its project is open.

Money Widgets

Money Owed and Overdue counts open invoices with a balance. An invoice is overdue the day after its due date. Invoiced This Week counts invoices by the day they were issued, Monday to Sunday, in your company's time zone (from Business Hours); drafts and voided invoices are not counted. Hover a bar to see its amount, or choose Show as a Table.

Monthly Recurring adds up the items on active subscriptions as they stand today: each item's quantity times its unit price, less its discount while the discount lasts. A yearly subscription counts as a twelfth of its price each month. Subscriptions set to bill every week are never billed, so they are not counted.

Team Cost and Hours This Week

Team Cost and Hours This Week adds up the time everyone logged this week, Monday to Sunday, in every app that keeps time, and what it cost: each entry's hours times the person's pay rate on that day, the same way each project's Cost card counts it. Hours from someone with no pay rate that day are counted as hours and marked No pay rate, never guessed. AI agents your business runs, such as an AI assistant, are listed by name with their cost and how many answers they gave. It shows the five people with the highest cost, last week's hours and cost, and links to Team Time in Projects for the whole week.

Arranging Your Home

Owners and admins can choose Arrange Home to change their own Home (action core.widgets.arrange):

  • Clear a widget's box to hide it, or check it to show it again.
  • Move a widget up or down with its arrows.
  • Choose Save, or Put Back as It Was to return to the usual order with every widget showing.

Only your own Home changes; everyone else's stays as it was. A widget from an app your company adds later appears in its usual place. If every widget is hidden, Home says so, and Arrange Home brings them back.

AI Agents and API Keys

Home's widgets are for people signed in to the workspace. AI agents and API keys read the same data through each app's own actions instead.
