MountDev Ops Partners documentation | Updated November 6, 2026

Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

Every update passes all 3,437 automated checks before it ships, plus screen tests on 9 screen sizes for everything it changes.

What the Line Is

The Powered By line is a small line, "Powered by" and a name, that your account can show on what it sends and publishes. The name is a plain link. It is off everywhere until you turn it on, so your customers never see your provider's name unless you choose to show it.

When your provider (the company your account gets its service from) runs a referral program and has offered it to your account, the line links to that provider. Join the program, free, and every line you turn on carries your own short referral link, so you earn commission when a company signs up through it and pays. You need no app to join, show the line, or be paid.

The line adds no script, pixel, or cookie to your pages or emails. A click goes to a short link that counts the click and sends the visitor on; nothing else about them is kept.

Where It Shows

Settings, Brand, has a Powered By and Earn card with one switch for each place:

  • Emails: at the bottom of every email your apps send, in your email template.
  • Invoices and Receipts: under the totals on the invoice page your customers open and pay.
  • Client Portal (Planned): at the bottom of the client portal pages your customers sign in to. The switch and its preview are ready; the portal pages show the line in a coming update.
  • Forms: under each form, on your website and on the form's own page.
  • Websites and Public Pages: at the bottom of your booking pages and other public pages.
  • Chat Widget: under the chat on your website.

Each place has its own switch, so you can show the line on emails and not on invoices, for example. Turning one off removes the line there on the next email or page.

Preview Before You Turn It On

Beside every switch, Preview opens a sample of that exact item (an email, an invoice, the portal, a form, a public page, or the chat widget) in your own brand: your logo, colors, font, email template, and name, from your Brand Kit, with made-up content where customer data would be. Before shows it without the line and After shows the line as your customers will see it. Under the sample, This links to shows where the line goes, and Opens shows the full address a visitor ends on.

Joining

Choose Join on the card (or Join and Turn On when you turn on a switch before joining). Joining is one click, with no application, and makes your short referral link. From then on, every line you turn on carries it. You can also choose Turn On Without Joining: the line then links to your provider's page with no referral code, and you earn nothing from it.

Once joined, the card shows Your referral link with Copy and New Code. Your code is 8 random lowercase letters and numbers (never your name or anything about your account), for example /r/k7m2q9xa. New Code gives you a new one; the old one keeps working for 90 days, then stops. Each line adds the place it was on to the link (for example /r/k7m2q9xa/email), so your Earn page can count clicks and signups per place.

The Name on the Line

If you are in your provider's Partner Program (as a partner or reseller), you choose the name: Powered by your provider, linking with your code so sign-ups earn you commission, or Powered by your own product name from your Brand Kit, linking to your own website, where sign-ups become your own customers. Your product name must be 40 characters or less, with only letters, numbers, spaces, and . & -, and your Brand Kit needs your website. The words "Powered by" and the line's look stay the same either way. Members of an open program that anyone can join (like Earn) always show the provider's name.

Who Can Change It

Whoever may change your brand (owners and admins to start, and anyone whose role allows changing the brand, set in Settings, Permissions) sees the card and its switches. What you earn is on the Earn page, for whoever may see earnings.

The Announcement Bar asks people who may change the brand, once, whether to turn the line on. Keep It Off hides the question for 180 days; it then asks once more, and a second Keep It Off means never again.

For Connected Apps and AI Agents

  • core.powered.read (MCP tool powered_by_read): where the line is on, the name it shows, where each line links, and whether the account joined.
  • core.powered.surface (MCP tool powered_by_set): turn the line on or off in one place.
  • core.powered.name (MCP tool powered_by_name): a partner chooses the provider's name or its own product name.
  • core.powered.preview: the samples on the card, for people only.

Joining, a new code, and payouts reach your provider's program, so a person does them on screen; no AI agent or key does.
