What Vendor Programs Is
Vendor Programs is where you keep the partner programs your own business belongs to: a software vendor's reseller or affiliate program that pays you commission. Each program shows every commission it paid you, the customer transactions those came from, and your active subscriptions with it, with totals, filters, totals by month, and a CSV download. It is on the Vendor Programs page in Partners, for owners and admins.
The Vendor Programs Page
The page (action partners.vendor.list) shows your totals across every program (commission earned, paid to you, not paid yet, and taken back) and each program with where its rows come from, when it last synced, and its counts. Choose a program to open it.
- Add Program (action
partners.vendor.save) adds a program by name, with its vendor, where its commissions come from (files you import, or a connected system that sends them), the connected system's name, and notes. Edit on a program changes the same details. A program is never deleted, so its history is always there. - Import a File (action
partners.vendor.import) brings rows in from a CSV file.
A Program's Page
A program's page (action partners.vendor.get) shows:
- Tiles: commission, paid to you, not paid yet, and customer sales with the number of active subscriptions.
- Filters: kind (commissions, transactions, or subscriptions), payout status (not paid yet, paid, or taken back), a range of months, and a search over customer, reference, and product.
- Totals by Month: the commission and sales of each month that matches the filters.
- Rows: the newest 500 rows that match, each with its customer, kind, date, product, reference, amount, payout reference, status, and commission.
- Download CSV (action
partners.vendor.export) saves every row that matches the filters as a CSV file. A cell that starts like a spreadsheet formula is saved as text, so a spreadsheet never runs it.
A commission counts as paid when its status starts with Paid (or Paid Out, or Settled) or it has a payout reference, and as taken back when its status says reversed, refunded, cancelled, or void, or its commission is below zero.
The File
The first line of the CSV names its columns, in any order: program, customer, reference, date, amount, commission, and status, and optionally kind (commission, transaction, or subscription; commission when empty), product, and payout (the vendor's payout reference).
- Each row is kept once by its program, kind, and reference. Importing the same file again changes nothing; a row whose status or amount changed (a commission paid out later) is updated in place.
- A program named in the file that is not here yet is added. Names are matched without regard to capital letters.
- Dates can look like 2026-10-09, 10/09/2026, or 9 Oct 2026. Amounts can have a dollar sign, commas, or parentheses for a negative amount.
- A row without a program or a reference, with an unknown kind, or with a date or amount that is not one is skipped, and the result says how many were skipped and why. Up to 2,000 rows at a time.
- Nothing is ever removed by an import.
Connected Programs and Sync Now
A program a connected system fills is marked Connected. The system sends the same rows with your workspace API key (action partners.vendor.import, API Keys), with each run noted as the program's last sync, including a failed run and its reason.
Sync Now on a connected program (action partners.vendor.sync) asks its system for fresh rows. The system reads what is waiting (action partners.vendor.requests) and answers with its rows, and the program shows the new rows and the time it synced. Asking again while a sync is waiting changes nothing; after an hour without an answer the request shows as not answered and can be asked again.
For AI Agents
AI agents can read the Vendor Programs page and a program's page (partners.vendor.list, partners.vendor.get). They cannot add, change, import, sync, or download a program: those stay with people.
