Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

What a Test Account Is

A test account is a client company you keep for trying out your own client experience: signing in as a client, opening requests, reading a proposal, and seeing invoices and reports the way your clients see them. Everything works as it does for a real client, except that nothing on a test account is billed or counted.

Marking a Company as a Test Account

Owners and admins open the company's page and tick This is a test account in the Test Account part of At a Glance (action crm.company.test). Untick it to make the company a regular client again. The company's page shows a Test Account label for everyone, and the box is the only place it changes: it is not in Details, and only owners and admins can change it, wherever the change comes from. AI agents and API keys cannot change it.

The box is the company's Test Account field. You can turn the field off in CRM's Settings like any field (Modules and Fields); while it is off, no company is a test account.

What a Test Account Never Does

  • It is never billed. Subscriptions makes no monthly invoice for it, its website usage is never billed, and Invoices never finalizes, emails, or charges its invoices, not even a payment for a proposal it accepts. It never has Billing Active (Billing Active).
  • It is never counted. Invoices' totals and its Home widgets (Money Owed and Overdue, Invoiced This Week, and drafts to approve), Subscriptions' Monthly Recurring, Projects' Active Projects on Home, and CRM Reports leave it out, along with every record linked to it. A report that left anything out says how many records it left out.
  • It gets no paid checks. Website monitoring, uptime, speed tests, and the other daily checks a managed service runs skip its websites.

Requests and Services

A test account's requests and service requests go through the normal flow and reach your Helpdesk like any other, labeled Test: in the subject, and they create no charges. Its client pages say Test Account at the top, so nobody mistakes it for a real client.

AI Agents

Agents can see whether a company is a test account on its page. Marking a company as a test account, or not, stays with owners and admins.
