Saved and Global Sections

MountDev Ops Websites documentation | Updated November 6, 2026
A section is one block of a page. Two kinds are kept for reuse.
Saved Sections
Save any section to use again on other pages.
- See the saved sections (action
sites.section.list). - Save a section to reuse (action
sites.section.save): give it a name. It is checked like any section. Custom HTML is never saved this way. - Remove a saved section, or bring it back (action
sites.section.remove): hidden and kept. Pages that already use it are not changed.
Using a saved section puts a copy on the page, so changing the copy never changes the saved one.
Global Sections
The announcement bar, the header, and the footer are edited once and show on every page of the website.
- See the global sections (action
sites.global.list). - Change a global section (action
sites.global.save): turn it on or off, change the announcement or footer text, or the header's brand name and links. A change reaches the live website with the next publish.
