Pages, posts, and docs are the content of a website. A page has an address, a title, and a list of content blocks.
Kinds
- Page: lives at its own address, such as /about. The page with the address home is the front page.
- Post: lives under /blog, such as /blog/first-post. A post has a date, and a posts block lists the newest.
- Doc: lives under /docs, such as /docs/guides/start. A doc can have up to four parts in its address and shows the docs menu beside it.
Blocks
A page is made of blocks. The kinds are hero, heading, text, list, image, button, price, faq, cards, contact, and posts. There is no block for raw HTML or script, so a page can only say what the website knows how to draw. Text keeps blank lines as paragraphs and turns label into a link. A link must be a path on your website like /contact, an anchor, an https link, a mail link, or a phone link. Anything else is refused with a plain message.
Actions
- See the pages (action
sites.page.list): 50 at a time, filtered by kind, searched by 2 or more letters of the title or address. - See one page (action
sites.page.get): with its blocks and search fields. - Add a page, post, or doc, or change one (action
sites.page.save): the address, title, summary, blocks, status (draft or ready), date, and search fields. Only ready pages are published. A page saved by an assistant or a key is a draft, and a change it makes to a page that is already ready waits for a person. - Remove a page, or bring it back (action
sites.page.remove): hidden and kept. A removed page is left out of the next publish.
Refusals
A page address uses lower case letters, numbers, and dashes. The first part of a page address cannot be blog, docs, or _assets, which are kept. Two pages of the same kind cannot share an address.
