History and Going Back

Every publish is a version with its number, who published it, when, and the note. See a website's history (action sites.version.list) lists every version, newest first, and marks the one visitors see.

Go back to an earlier version of a website (action sites.rollback) makes that version current again. It is recorded as a new entry in the history, so nothing is lost and you can go forward again by choosing a later version. Your working copy is not changed by going back.
