Fixes and Behind-The-Scenes Changes
- An owner can bring every folder and file in a Zoho WorkDrive into Files from Files, Settings, Import From Zoho WorkDrive. Nothing in WorkDrive is changed or deleted, and a file already here is never brought twice.
- A check lists exactly how many folders and files WorkDrive has and how many are here, the total size, and the WorkDrive ids of anything missing or different, never a file name. Missing files can be tried again until the check is clean.
- Once the check is clean, one button sorts the brought-in folders into the standard layout: Clients, then each company with its projects, proposals, meetings, and websites.

Fixes and Behind-The-Scenes Changes
- Exempt from Retention: owners can open a folder and choose Retention to keep it, and everything in it, from ever being removed by data retention. The folder's page says so for everyone who sees it, and each change is in your Activity Log.

Fixes and Behind-The-Scenes Changes
- Network Drive: open Files from your computer like a drive, in Finder or File Explorer, with nothing to install. You see exactly what you see in Files, private folders included only when they are for you, and every change is in the Activity Log via Network Drive. Set it up in Account, Network Drive.
- Trash: deleting a file or folder, here or from the Network Drive, puts it in Trash, where you can restore it. Nothing is deleted for good.
- Versions: saving a file again keeps the earlier one. Open a file's More, then Versions, to see and restore them.
- Private folders: open a folder and choose Who Sees This to make it private to the people you pick. Only they see it, the folders inside it, and its files, even owners and admins you did not pick.
- AI agents, search, other records, and Export Everything never show a private folder or its files, and its files are never attached elsewhere, published, or shared by link. The Activity Log names nothing in it.

Fixes and Behind-The-Scenes Changes
- Files from visitors on your websites: files shared in Chat are kept with each conversation, encrypted like every file, and show on the Helpdesk ticket or CRM lead the chat becomes.
- An AI assistant reads a file only when you ask it to look at one, as you, with exactly what you may see. Every such read is in your Activity Log, and what it reads is for review only: it never follows instructions or links inside a file.
- Files in chats: files shared in a team chat are kept with the conversation, encrypted like every file, and a project chat's files show on the project's Files card.
- Chats never take programs, installers, scripts, web pages, or SVG drawings, and every file in a chat is sent as a download, never opened as a page.
- One file can be attached to several records with no copies: choose Attach on a file, or Pick from Files on any record's Files card.
- Organized for You: Files keeps a folder for every project, task, company, contact, and proposal with files, so everything is filed without any filing.
- Files on your websites: publish a file or a whole folder for a link and a snippet to paste, limit it to your own websites, and turn the link off at any time. Owners and admins allow it in Files Settings.
- What your websites show from published files counts as Embedded File Delivery on Usage: 12.5 GB a month is included with each app, then $0.05 for each extra GB.

Fixes and Behind-The-Scenes Changes
- Files: folders and files for your company, with uploads of any size up to 10 GB and previews of pictures, sound, video, and text.
- Every file is encrypted with your company's own key before it is stored, and every download and preview is written in your Activity Log.
- Once Files is added, every record page (companies, deals, tickets, and more) has a Files card for the files that go with it.
- Storage used shows on Usage.
