Time

Time in Projects

Time is kept by the workspace's time tracking (Time Tracking), turned on for projects and tasks. Time on a task counts toward its project.

My Time

My Time shows your week, Monday to Sunday, across every app that keeps time (action core.time.week): each entry with what it was on, its note, and its hours, each day's total, and the week's total and billable hours. Previous and Next change the week, and This Week comes back. Owners and admins can open anyone's week from Team Time.

The Timer

The Timer card on My Time shows your running timer, how long it has run, Stop and Log (action core.time.stop), and Discard (action core.time.discard). Start Timer, there or on a project's page, starts one on a project or one of its tasks (action core.time.start). If a timer is running, it stops and its time is logged first.

Logging Time

Log Time adds an entry (action core.time.log): the project, a task on it if you like, the date, the time (like 1:30, 1.5, or 45m), a note, whether it is billable (yes unless you untick it), and an hourly rate. The choices are the open projects you can see and their open tasks (action projects.time.targets). Leave the rate empty and it comes from the project's hourly rate, then the client's hourly rate in Billing, then the default rate in Projects Settings.

Owners and admins can log time for anyone, from that person's week.

Changing and Deleting Time

Change on an entry changes it (action core.time.change): its project and task, date, time, note, billable, or rate. Delete removes it for good, after asking (action core.time.delete). Everyone changes only their own time; owners and admins change anyone's.

Team Time

Owners and admins see Team Time (action core.time.team): everyone's week, one row per person, with each day's hours, the week's total, and the billable hours. Select a person's entries to see them, or Open Week to open their week.

A Project's Time

A project's page totals the time on the project and its tasks. Owners, admins, and the project's manager see everyone's entries and the billable amount; anyone else sees their own.

Billable Time

Billing reads billable time from the workspace's time tracking (action core.time.billable), with each entry's project, task, company, and website.

AI Agents

Agents can see the projects and tasks time can go to, and log, change, and time their person's own time.
