Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

What Projects Is

Projects keeps the work you do for your clients: each project with its tasks and the time your team spends on it. It starts with the modules below, and every one of them can be changed, turned off, or deleted in Setup, the same as any module (Modules and Fields). Adding Projects adds CRM too, because projects link to your companies and websites. Proposals are their own app.

Starting Modules

  • Projects: name, company, status (Not Started, In Progress, On Hold, Completed, or Cancelled), project manager, who it is assigned to, website, start and due dates, hours budgeted, budget, hourly rate, code, and description.
  • Tasks: title, project, status (Not Started, In Progress, Waiting, or Done), who it is assigned to, due date, priority (Low, Normal, or High), hours estimated, code, and notes.

Time on projects and tasks is kept by the workspace's time tracking (Time Tracking), so it shows with time from every other app.

The project manager and a project's and a task's assignee are the email addresses of people in your workspace. The Projects screens choose them from a list of your people.

The Pages

  • Projects and the Home Page: your tasks, the projects you manage, the list of projects, and each project's page.
  • Tasks: adding tasks and moving them along.
  • Time: the timer, My Time, Team Time, and billable time.
  • Projects Settings: who sees which projects, and the default rate.

Who Sees What

Projects uses your workspace's roles (Roles), with these rules on top:

  • Owners and admins see everything.
  • Members see the projects they manage, are assigned to, have a task on, or added, and the tasks on those projects. Projects Settings can show every project to every member instead.
  • Everyone sees and changes their own time. A project's manager sees everyone's time on it. Team Time is for owners and admins.

A role still applies on top: a Team member sees only records they own, and a Viewer looks without changing anything.

Bringing in Your Data

Projects and tasks import like any module (Importing), and time entries through the workspace's time tracking: each row names its id in the other system, so importing again updates instead of copying. Cascadia's own projects, tasks, and time come from the Cascadia hub the same way.

For Billing

Billable time is ready for invoices: Billing reads it from the workspace's time tracking (action core.time.billable), with each entry's project, task, company, and website.

For AI Agents

Agents can read the home page and projects, log, change, and time their person's own time, and move tasks, with the same checks as people. Agents never delete time, see Team Time or billable time, or change Projects Settings.
