Our Commitment

MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.

The Settings

Owners and admins find Billing Settings on Invoices' Settings page, the last item of Invoices' menu. The same page lists Invoices' modules and fields, with their icons, and Invoices' roles (Apps). Subscriptions uses the same settings for its monthly run, and its own Settings page shows Make monthly drafts on the 1st too (Subscriptions Settings). They see them with action invoices.settings.get and change them with action invoices.settings.save. Every change is in the activity log.

  • Live Billing: off at first. While it is off, Invoices and Subscriptions only make drafts: nothing is numbered, emailed, or charged a late fee. Turning it on needs a From address.
  • Make monthly drafts on the 1st: on at first. The month's drafts are made at 5 AM Pacific on the 1st. Turn it off to make them yourself. With it off, no notices go out before the monthly invoice.
  • Issue Automatically: off at first. With it and Live Billing on, the drafts made that day are finalized and charged: the monthly invoices on the 1st (by Subscriptions' monthly run) and the late fees on their day. With it off, a person reviews and finalizes each draft.
  • From address: the email address invoices, late charges, and receipts come from. It must be an address your email sending is set up for.
  • From name: the name those emails come from. Cascadia Web Services at first.
  • Account page: the page the notice before each monthly invoice links to. Emails about one invoice link to that invoice's own page instead. It must start with https://.
  • Payments With Stripe: whether Stripe is connected (in Setup, API Connections), and the webhook address to add in Stripe, with the events to send (action invoices.stripe.status). See Payments With Stripe.

Billing Emails

Action invoices.emails.list shows the billing emails waiting to go out, those sent, and those that could not be sent, with the reason. Choose a status to see only those.

  • An email that could not be sent says why, such as a From address that is not set up.
  • If sending stops partway, the email is marked as possibly not sent, so you can check with the client.
