Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
Where to Find Them
Owners and admins find Chat Settings in Setup, under Apps, once Chat is added (action chat.settings.get). The card shows whether the chat is on, whether you are open now, and where emails go from. Website Snippet is described in The Website Snippet.
Change Settings
Change Settings (action chat.settings.save):
- Show the chat on your websites: on at first. Off hides the bubble everywhere.
- Title: at the top of the chat. Empty uses your company name.
- Greeting: the first words visitors read.
- Color: the bubble and the visitor's messages, like #2872fa.
- Bubble position: bottom right (the start) or bottom left.
- Name and email: optional (the start: visitors can chat first and are asked for their email once) or required before chatting.
- Websites: the chat works only on these, like example.com (which includes its subdomains, such as shop.example.com). Empty lets it work wherever the snippet is.
- Who hears about new chats by email: owners and admins (the start), everyone who answers chats, or nobody.
- Send emails from: a verified address of yours, and the Sender name. Empty uses your first Helpdesk address (for everyone) when Helpdesk is added. Without an address, transcripts and missed answers cannot be emailed. Ask Cascadia support to verify a new address for sending.
- Email visitors answers they missed: on at first, with the minutes to wait (5 to 240, 20 at first).
Office Hours
Office Hours (action chat.settings.save):
- Time zone: America/Los_Angeles at first.
- Always open: visitors always see you online (unless the next setting says otherwise).
- Each day's hours: like 09:00-17:00 in 24-hour time, or empty for closed. Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, at first.
- Closed days: holidays, like 2026-12-25.
- Show as offline when nobody on your team is available: off at first. When on, visitors see you online only while someone has set themselves available (Answering Chats).
- Offline message: above the form visitors fill in outside office hours.
Outside office hours visitors see when you are back, to the quarter hour, in their own time.
