Connecting Telnyx
Calls works through your own Telnyx account. In Settings, Connections, Connected Services, connect Telnyx with your API key and public key, and fill in your business number, the WebRTC connection ID, the TeXML application ID, and the messaging profile ID. The public key proves every call and text really came from Telnyx: without it, nothing is taken.
The Addresses to Copy into Telnyx
Calls Settings (action calls.settings, owners and admins) shows three addresses:
- TeXML application, Voice URL: where Telnyx asks what each incoming call does next. Set the method to POST.
- TeXML application, Status Callback: how each call ended, so the call card goes away when a caller hangs up.
- Messaging profile and WebRTC connection, Webhook URL: incoming texts, delivery updates, and how calls placed from the app went.
Each address is signed for your workspace. Keep them out of email and chat.
What Callers Hear
The messages, the voice, hold music, Time to Choose, and whether the rest of the team rings are in Settings, Phone. Calls follow Business Hours (Settings, Business Hours).
