Our Commitment
MountDev Ops is built security first. Your business data belongs to you, and you can export all of it at any time. We never use analytics or tracking of any kind inside MountDev Ops.
Every update passes all 1,932 automated checks before it ships, plus screen tests on 9 screen sizes for everything it changes.
One Way for Every Sale
However a service is sold, it reaches billing the same way: as an item on the client's subscription, linked to the website it is for. Action subscriptions.services.add does it, for owners and admins (permission Add services to a client's subscription, with their website), and the same rule runs when:
- A client accepts a proposal with monthly or yearly lines (Services on the Client's Subscription).
- A person adds services with the action, from the screens' automations or an import of your own.
API keys and AI agents cannot use it: it sets what a client is billed.
What It Does
Give it the client's CRM company, the website (a CRM website of theirs, or its domain), the services, and the day they start:
- The website: found on the client's company by its domain (with or without www.). A domain the company does not have yet is added to CRM's Websites, on the company, named after its domain, with the status Active. A website of another company is never used: the request is refused and says so.
- The subscription: each service goes on the client's active subscription billed at the same interval (every Month or every Year) that is still running on the start day. A client without one gets a new subscription named after their company, such as "Acme Monthly Services", starting that day. When a service starts before the subscription does, the subscription's start date moves to that day.
- Each service: an item with its product (when given), a description (the product's name unless another is given), the quantity (1 unless given), the unit price (the product's price unless another is given), the website, and the start date. A service with no price is refused and named.
- The first month: a monthly service that starts after the 1st is marked Bill the first month prorated. The next monthly run bills the days left in that first month, at the monthly price times the days left over the days in the month (rounded to the cent), on its own line, with the month ahead. A service that starts on the 1st is billed for whole months. Yearly services are never prorated: they are billed in the month of the subscription's next bill date, for the year ahead.
- Never weekly: there are no weekly invoices. A service billed every week is refused.
Once Only
Each addition has a reference (such as the proposal it comes from), and each service in it a key. An item is kept with both, so adding the same thing again changes nothing, and an item someone deleted is never added back: the answer lists it as skipped, with the reason. Nothing that is already on a subscription is ever changed or removed.
Your Service Provider's Client Portal
When your service provider runs your managed services through MountDev Ops, the services you add in their client portal (Add a Service on a website, or Add a Website with its services) are added to your subscription in their workspace the same way, at the price you authorized, starting the day you add them. When this month was charged right away, the first month is not prorated again on your invoice.
