Keeper alternative
A Keeper Alternative for Teams with Nobody to Run It
Keeper sells three business plans, with provisioning and single sign on in Enterprise and custom reporting in a separate module. Each one still needs someone to configure it. Managed Zoho Vault runs inside a Zoho account your company owns, and we handle migration, structure, two factor, and monthly reviews on one published monthly plan.
With Cascadia you get
- Migration is included, not extra
- Your team trained, not locked out
- We will say when Vault is wrong
- Access designed before anything imports
- Your account, your data
- Connected to the rest of Zoho

What the Monthly Rate Covers
After setup we keep running all of this. Zoho bills the Vault license to you directly, and we add no markup to it.
- Account setup and user provisioning inside your own Zoho organization
- Migration from Keeper or any other source, cleaned before it lands
- Browser extension and mobile app rollout for every machine
- Chambers, folders, and sharing rules built around your teams
- Custom secret types for API keys, certificates, and licenses
- Password policy and a rotation schedule that gets reviewed
- IP restrictions and session controls
- Directory sync and single sign on configured for you
- Provisioning workflows in Zoho Flow and reporting in Zoho Analytics
- Monthly change requests and training for staff and admins
What We Add on Top of a Vault
Keeper hands you the tools and the admin console. We supply the person who sits in it every month.
Someone Applies the Policy Engine
Keeper documents 13 enforcement policy categories, from Login Settings to Transfer Account, and the most restrictive setting wins when roles overlap (October 2026). Those are controls to choose. We choose the equivalent Vault settings with you and write them down.
The Account Is Yours, Start to Finish
The Zoho organization is registered to your company and the subscription is in your name. Nothing sits behind a Cascadia login, so leaving us means no handover to negotiate.
Accounts Come from Zoho Directory
Keeper lists SCIM, Active Directory and LDAP sync, and SSO Connect as Enterprise features (October 2026). With Vault we align accounts to Zoho Directory and build joiner and leaver workflows in Zoho Flow.
The Move Is Part of the Fee
Export, cleanup, and import are folded into the monthly plan with no separate setup charge. Dead entries and logins for retired systems are dropped on the way in rather than copied over.
Who Should Read This Comparison
Business Plan Teams Who Want Directory Provisioning
Keeper puts SCIM, AD and LDAP sync, and SSO Connect under Enterprise, and its Enterprise price is by quote (October 2026). If you sit on Business and want accounts driven by a directory, Vault synced to Zoho Directory is an alternative worth pricing.
Zoho One Customers with an Idle Vault
Vault ships inside Zoho One, so some companies pay for it and have never opened it. We build the vault in the account you already hold and line it up with the Zoho Directory beside it.
Teams Who Need Reports Read for Them
Keeper builds custom reports and alerts in its ARAM module, a subscription beyond the base plan (October 2026). If you would rather receive a written review each month than build alert rules, that is our job.
Choose Keeper if
- A contract that names FedRAMP High
- Enterprise provisioning and an admin to run it
- You need a phone line open all night
Choose Cascadia if
- Nobody has opened Keeper’s admin console lately
- Leavers still hold shared logins
- You already pay for Zoho One and Vault is in it
How a Move Off Keeper Runs
- 1
We Read Your Keeper Admin Console First
Roles, nodes, shared folders, and who holds what. Keeper lists Import and Export among its enforcement policies (October 2026), so we also check whether your own settings limit what can be pulled out.
- 2
We Export, Then Clean What Comes Out
Duplicates, dead entries, and logins for systems you retired get dropped. Keeper stores 20 default record types plus custom ones (October 2026), so we map each to a Vault secret type before anything imports.
- 3
We build the Vault structure and import into it
Chambers, folders, and privilege levels go in first, then the cleaned records. The extension and mobile app follow, with training for staff and admins.
- 4
You Keep Keeper Running Until People Are Live
Keeper business plans are billed annually (October 2026), so check your renewal date. We suggest cancelling only after the team has used Vault for a full working cycle.

Keeper Alternative Questions
Plain answers on Keeper’s plans and limits, moving off it, and what stays yours.
See Managed Zoho VaultStill have a question?
What is Keeper, and how does it differ from Zoho Vault?
Keeper is a zero-knowledge password manager from Keeper Security, sold in personal, business, and enterprise tiers. Zoho Vault is Zoho’s team password manager and sits inside the Zoho suite. Both store credentials encrypted. The practical gap is where each lives, and who configures it afterward. We manage Vault on a monthly plan.
How are Keeper’s business plans structured?
Three tiers: Business Starter for 5 to 10 seats, Business from 5 seats, and Enterprise by quote, all billed annually (October 2026). Starter includes the encrypted vault, admin console, and sharing. Business adds delegated administration. We could not read a per-user price on Keeper’s own pricing page, so ask Keeper for a current quote.
Which Keeper features are held back for Enterprise?
Keeper’s feature list puts SCIM provisioning, command line provisioning, Active Directory and LDAP sync, Entra ID integration, advanced two factor with Duo and RSA, SSO with SAML 2.0, and developer APIs under Enterprise (October 2026). Business and Starter get the admin console, policy engine, and basic two factor. Check the tier before assuming a feature is included.
How does Keeper protect stored data?
Keeper describes AES 256-bit encryption with elliptic curve cryptography, done on the user’s device, and master password key derivation using PBKDF2 at 1,000,000 iterations (October 2026). Its keys are also wrapped by non-exportable HSM keys. Vault likewise encrypts before data leaves the device, with a master password Zoho never stores.
Which certifications does Keeper hold?
A long list. Keeper reports SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018, FedRAMP High on AWS GovCloud, and FIPS 140-3 validation under NIST certificate 4743 (October 2026). It also states HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS Level 1 compliance. If a contract demands FedRAMP High specifically, Keeper is the product to price. We would tell you that on the first call.
What reporting does Keeper include?
Every business subscription gets a Recent Activity report covering the last 1,000 events across 200 or more event types, plus a security events report (October 2026). Custom reports, alerts by email or SMS, and exports to JSON, CSV, or Syslog need the separate ARAM subscription. SIEM streaming reaches platforms such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.
How does Keeper handle an employee who leaves?
Through Account Transfer. An administrator locks the departing user’s account, then moves its records, folders, and subfolders into one folder in a chosen colleague’s vault, named for the old owner’s email (October 2026). The user must have accepted the transfer policy within 7 days and logged in once. The original account is then deleted permanently.
What does Keeper’s own LastPass import tell us about moving away from it?
Keeper’s documentation shows how easy it makes moving in: an automated LastPass import covers passwords, folders, TOTP codes, and attachments, and Commander handles shared folders for administrators (October 2026). Moving out is a different job. Plan to export, clean, and remap record types before importing, which is the work we take on.
Can you migrate us off Keeper to Zoho Vault?
Yes. Keeper is one of the sources we export from, along with other managers, browser stores, and spreadsheets. We clean the data first, so duplicates and credentials for retired systems stay behind, then import into a chamber structure we agree with you beforehand. Setup is usually two to three weeks, longer if you have many systems or strict compliance needs.
How do Keeper record types compare with Vault secret types?
Keeper ships 20 default record types, among them Login, SSH Key, Software License, Database, and WiFi, and business customers can add custom ones (October 2026). Vault also supports custom secret types for API keys, SSH keys, licenses, certificates, payment cards, and Wi-Fi credentials. We set those up in onboarding, so neither tool is short on field types.
How do Keeper roles and enforcement policies work?
Roles attach to nodes in an organizational tree. Keeper groups enforcement into 13 categories, including Two-Factor Authentication, Allow IP List, and Import and Export, and when a user holds several roles the most restrictive setting applies (October 2026). Administrative roles cannot be mapped to teams. That is a good model, provided somebody tends it.
What support does Keeper offer compared with yours?
Keeper lists email, live chat, and phone support around the clock, and business plans get priority email and onboarding help (October 2026). Our replies come within two business days, so for a round the clock incident line Keeper is ahead. We work from the monthly review and the runbooks we leave behind.
What stays with us if we switch to Managed Zoho Vault?
Everything. The Zoho organization is registered to your company, the Vault subscription is in your name, and the secrets remain yours. Zoho bills the license directly and we do not mark it up. If you later move on, there is no contract or data to transfer back from us.
What will Cascadia not do?
Our service is Managed Zoho Vault, so we do not administer Keeper accounts or certify your company against a standard. We also will not push Vault if it is wrong for you. If your contract needs something Keeper holds, such as FedRAMP High, or you already run Keeper well, we will say so and leave it there.
