SiteLock alternative
A SiteLock Alternative Built Around the Firewall, Not the Scan
SiteLock’s plans run from $19.99 to $44.99 a month (October 2026), and the entry plan scans and cleans but includes no firewall. Edge Protection is the other half of the job: rules at the edge that keep attacks out, set for your site and checked every morning.
With Cascadia you get
- A firewall on every site
- Rules written for your site
- Caching and TLS included
- Checked every morning
- Nothing installed on the site
- Your account stays yours

What Ships in the Standard Plan Here
SiteLock gives you daily scanning, automatic malware removal, and backups, with a firewall and CDN on its higher plans. How those firewall rules should treat your particular site, and whether they still do next month, is the part left open.
- Firewall rules written for how your site is actually used
- Rules for wp-login and xmlrpc set at the edge
- Bot protection and rate limiting configured, not left on defaults
- Caching tuned so logged-in pages and checkout still work
- HTTPS enforced and the TLS minimum kept current
- Nine settings compared every morning against what we set
- A change you did not make put back by us
- Nothing installed on your website
- 90 days of daily history, so you can see what changed and when
- Your account stays yours, and our access can be withdrawn
Where Cascadia Goes Further
A scan tells you something got in. Firewall, bot, and rate limiting rules written for your site make that report less likely to arrive at all.
The Firewall Is the Whole Job
Edge Protection has no tier without a firewall. Rules for wp-login and xmlrpc, bot protection, rate limits, and country or ASN rules where they help are all part of setup.
Rules Explained Before They Go On
Anything that could stop a real customer, such as a country rule or a tight rate limit, is talked through with you first, and exceptions are written for the tools you actually use.
Speed Settings in the Same Service
Caching tuned to how the site is built, browser cache set sensibly, HTTPS enforced, and the TLS minimum kept current, without a separate plan to buy.
Checked Every Morning, Put Back When Wrong
Nine settings are compared daily against what we set. A change you did not make is reversed and named in a ticket, with 90 days of history behind it.
Who This Comparison Is For
SiteLock Covers Cleanup and Backups
Unlimited automatic malware removal and daily backups come with every SiteLock plan. We do neither, so a site that needs those needs something besides us.
The Entry Plan Has No Firewall
SiteLock Basic scans daily and removes malware, and the firewall starts on Pro. That is a sensible product line, and worth knowing before you assume a plan blocks attacks.
A Rules Dashboard Still Needs a Person
The Business plan adds a dashboard for editing custom firewall rules. Custom rules only help when somebody writes them for the site and comes back to them.
Choose SiteLock if
- You need malware scanning and removal
- Backups from the same vendor suit you
- A daily scan report is what you want
Choose Cascadia if
- You want a firewall written for your site
- You want caching and TLS handled too
- You want the edge checked every morning
Adding Edge Protection Next to or Instead of SiteLock
Nothing on your website changes, and SiteLock’s scanning can keep running while the edge is set up. Whether you keep it afterward is your decision.
- 1
We Read Your Current Edge Settings
We look at what is live and tell you what is wrong with it, from TLS 1.0 still being allowed to caching that serves logged-in pages to the wrong people.
- 2
We Write the Firewall and Bot Rules
Login paths, rate limits, bot protection, and country or ASN rules where they help, all written for how your site is used and explained before anything risky goes on.
- 3
We Set Caching and TLS
Caching is tuned to how the site is built, browser cache is set sensibly, HTTPS is enforced, and development mode is switched off and kept off.
- 4
The Daily Comparison Begins
Every morning the live settings are compared with what we set. Anything that moved becomes a ticket, and the monthly report covers the month just ended.

See Edge ProtectionStill have a question?
What is a SiteLock alternative?
Anything else that scans, cleans, or protects a website. Sucuri sells a similar mix of firewall and cleanup, plugins such as Wordfence and CleanTalk do the work inside WordPress, and managed services like this one configure the edge in front of your site and keep checking it.
How is Cascadia different from SiteLock?
SiteLock’s plans start from scanning and malware removal and add a firewall and CDN further up. We start and finish with the edge. We set firewall rules, bot protection, rate limiting, caching, and TLS for how your site is used, then compare nine settings every morning against what we set.
How much does SiteLock cost?
Basic is $19.99 a month, Pro is $29.99 a month, and Business is $44.99 a month (October 2026). Basic includes daily scanning, automatic malware removal, and backups. Pro adds the firewall, CDN, bot blocking, and DDoS protection. Business adds a dashboard for custom firewall rules. Edge Protection is $49 a month per domain.
Does SiteLock do anything you do not?
Yes. Daily scanning, malware removal, and backups are on every SiteLock plan, and we do none of them. If a site has been compromised, cleanup comes first.
Can I run SiteLock scanning and Edge Protection together?
Yes. Scanning watches the site’s files, and edge rules decide what reaches them, so the two jobs sit side by side. Nothing we do is installed on the site.
Will an edge rule block my own customers?
That is what we plan around. Country rules and tight rate limits are explained before they go on, exceptions are written for the tools you use, and good bots are let through.
What happens when a setting drifts?
You hear about it the next morning in a ticket that names the setting and its previous value. If the change was not yours, we put it back. Daily snapshots are kept for 90 days.
How fast do you respond?
Setup starts within two business days, and the first full picture of your settings arrives within a week. After that, a setting that moves overnight is reported the next morning.
Do you need access to my website?
No. We work in your edge account through an invitation you can withdraw at any time, and nothing is installed on the site.
Do I need managed hosting to buy this?
No. It runs as a standalone monthly service on whatever hosting you already use, and it is also part of Domain Pro at $59 a month per domain.
When does the monthly report arrive?
On the first Tuesday on or after the 3rd of each month, at 11 AM Pacific, covering the month just ended. It comes by email with a link to the full report online, which stays open for 90 days.
What if I want to leave?
Withdraw our access. Your edge account was always yours, and every change we made is recorded, so you keep a clear picture of what protects the site.
Ready to put a firewall in front of every site?
Forty-nine dollars a month per domain, with the firewall, bot rules, caching, and TLS set for your site and compared against what we set every morning.
