Prompt Security alternative

A Prompt Security Alternative for Teams Without a SOC

Prompt Security, now part of SentinelOne, watches AI use through browser extensions and a lightweight agent, across thousands of AI tools. We could not find a published price (October 2026). We cover a narrower slice, the AI traffic through your gateway, and the review is done for you.

With Cascadia you get

  • Nothing installed on laptops
  • Every request, not a sample
  • Blocked or flagged, your call
  • A person reads the flags
  • Profiles tuned to your data
  • One price per organization

What Ships in the Standard Plan Here

Prompt Security brings extensions, an agent, redaction, and coaching to a security team that runs them. Policy design, alert triage, and the conversation with the person who pasted the card number stay inside your walls. Here they sit with us.

  • Every request through the gateway scanned, not sampled
  • Card numbers, bank details, and ID numbers caught
  • Prompts checked, and the replies that come back
  • Blocked outright or flagged, whichever you choose
  • Flagged items read by a person here every week
  • False positives tuned out as your team learns
  • Nothing installed on anyone’s laptop
  • A monthly report of what was caught and where
  • A record of each catch kept for 90 days
  • Profiles that cover whatever your business defines

Where a Managed Service Fits Better

Fewer moving parts, a price on the page, and somebody reading the results each week instead of a queue nobody owns.

Nothing Deployed to Devices

Prompt Security runs through browser extensions and an agent. We scan at the gateway, so there is nothing to push through device management and nothing to chase when a laptop is rebuilt.

The Review Is Part of the Price

Flagged items are read by a person here every week. Patterns are raised with you in plain words, and repeat offenders are surfaced without a public scene.

A Price You Can Budget First

Content Guardrails is $49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79. You can budget it before anyone books a call.

Built for Your Size

One organization, one price, profiles tuned to the data you actually handle. No per seat math as the team grows.

Who This Comparison Is For

They Reach Further Than We Do

Prompt Security says it monitors more than 15,000 AI tools and services, and covers coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code. Our scanning covers what passes through your gateway.

Redaction and Coaching Are Strengths

It can redact or tokenize sensitive data on the fly and coach people inline. We block or flag, and the coaching comes from us, in the weekly review.

A Platform Needs an Operator

Software that sees everything still needs somebody to decide what matters. Without that person, the alerts pile up.

Choose Prompt Security if

  • You have a security team to run it
  • Browser chats are your main exposure
  • You want redaction and inline coaching

Choose Cascadia if

  • Nobody on staff owns AI security
  • Your AI use runs through applications
  • You want the review done for you

Moving from Prompt Security to Gateway Scanning in Four Steps

Your side is small: a conversation about what counts as sensitive, and someone who can change the endpoint each application calls.

  1. 1

We Read the Policies You Already Have

Whatever Prompt Security blocks or redacts today tells us what your business cares about. We start our profiles from that list, not from a blank page.

  2. 2

We Switch on Scanning at the Gateway

Financial and identifier profiles go on first, then get tuned to your data. Each match is set to block or to flag, according to what you choose.

  3. 3

We Read the First Week of Flags

A person reads every flagged item, removes the false positives, and raises any pattern with you. The first full picture arrives within a week.

  4. 4

The Extension Comes Off When You Are Ready

Some teams keep browser coverage for the chat windows and let us handle the gateway. Others remove it. Nothing is turned off until the gateway is demonstrably catching what it should.

Still have a question?

What is a Prompt Security alternative?

Any other way of keeping sensitive data out of AI tools. That includes platforms such as Nightfall AI and Harmonic Security, broader suites such as Netskope and Microsoft Purview, and managed services like this one, where scanning runs at the gateway and people read the results.

How is Cascadia different from Prompt Security?

Prompt Security is software for a security team: browser extensions, an agent, redaction, and coaching. We run scanning at the AI gateway and read what it finds for you. It sees more. We do more of the work.

Who owns Prompt Security now?

SentinelOne. It agreed to acquire Prompt Security in 2025, and the product now sits inside SentinelOne’s platform.

How much does Prompt Security cost?

We could not find a published price, so we leave it out (October 2026). Ours is $49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79.

Does this need AI Gateway?

Yes. The scanning happens inside AI Gateway, so on its own Content Guardrails has nothing to read. AI Gateway is $79 a month per organization and Content Guardrails is $49 on top of it. If you want both along with Managed MCP for five people, AI Pro bundles the three for $189 a month. Prompt Security prices its product separately, so the honest comparison is against the two of ours together.

Does Prompt Security cover more AI tools than you?

Yes. It says it monitors more than 15,000 AI tools and services through the browser and the device. We cover the AI traffic routed through your gateway. If the browser chat window is your main worry, a browser tool is the better fit.

Do you redact sensitive data like Prompt Security does?

No. We block a request outright or let it through and flag it, and you choose which. Redaction keeps work moving; blocking is simpler to reason about. Both are fair choices.

What do you install on our side?

Nothing on anyone’s machine. The only change is the endpoint your applications call.

Can we decide what counts as sensitive?

Yes. We start with the predefined profiles for financial and identifier data, then tune them to what your business actually handles. Anything your own profiles define is caught as well.

Who sees what was caught?

You do. The monthly report names what was caught, which application it came from, and what was blocked as against what was allowed. It is evidence if you ever need it.

How long before we see results?

Setup starts within two business days, and the first full picture arrives within a week.

What if we want to leave?

Point your applications back at the providers and the scanning stops. Your records of what was caught come with you.
