Netskope alternative

A Netskope Alternative for Businesses That Only Need the AI Part

Netskope AI Guardrails moderates prompts and AI responses across more than 24 generative AI apps, and sits next to Netskope’s separate data protection and threat protection (October 2026). We could not find a published price. We run one narrower job, sensitive data scanning at your gateway, for a price on the page.

With Cascadia you get

  • Nothing installed on laptops
  • Every request, not a sample
  • Blocked or flagged, your call
  • A person reads the flags
  • Profiles tuned to your data
  • One price per organization

What Ships in the Standard Plan Here

Netskope gives you guardrail profiles, policy actions, and coaching templates to configure, alongside its data protection. Writing the policies, choosing the actions, and reading the alerts belong to your security team. Here they belong to us.

  • Every request through the gateway scanned, not sampled
  • Card numbers, bank details, and ID numbers caught
  • Prompts checked, and the replies that come back
  • Blocked outright or flagged, whichever you choose
  • Flagged items read by a person here every week
  • False positives tuned out as your team learns
  • Nothing installed on anyone’s laptop
  • A monthly report of what was caught and where
  • A record of each catch kept for 90 days
  • Profiles that cover whatever your business defines

Where a Smaller Service Makes More Sense

One job done carefully: AI traffic scanned for sensitive data at the gateway and read by a person, at a price you can see.

Only the AI Data Piece

You do not buy a platform to get one policy. Content Guardrails is the scanning, the tuning, and the review, and nothing else.

A Price on the Page

$49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79. You can budget it before anyone books a call.

A Person Reads the Alerts

Netskope can alert or coach a user in the moment. What happens to the alert afterward is up to your team. Here, a person reads flagged items every week and raises patterns with you.

Nothing Installed on Laptops

Your applications point at the gateway endpoint. Nothing goes on anyone’s machine.

Who This Comparison Is For

Netskope Moderates More Than Data

Its AI Guardrails look for threats and misuse in prompts and replies, from prompt attacks to hate speech, bias, and copyright problems, mapped to MITRE ATLAS and the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs. We look for sensitive data and nothing else.

In-The-Moment Coaching Is Real

Block and User Alert actions can show a coaching message as it happens. Our coaching is slower and more human: patterns raised in the weekly review.

Platforms Need Owners

If nobody would own the Netskope console, the guardrail policies inside it will not get tuned either.

Choose Netskope if

  • You need threat and misuse moderation too
  • You want coaching shown in the moment
  • You have a team to run the console

Choose Cascadia if

  • You only need sensitive data kept out
  • Nobody would own a security console
  • You want a price on the page

Moving from Netskope to Gateway Scanning in Four Steps

Your part is short: tell us what counts as sensitive, and give us someone who can change the endpoint each application calls.

  1. 1

We Read Your Current AI Policies

If you have Netskope profiles in place, they show us what you have decided matters. Our profiles start from that, not from scratch.

  2. 2

We Switch on Scanning at the Gateway

Financial and identifier profiles go on first and get tuned to your data. Each match is set to block or to flag, according to what you choose.

  3. 3

We Read the First Week of Flags

A person reads every flagged item, removes the false positives, and raises any pattern with you. The first full picture arrives within a week.

  4. 4

Netskope Stays or Goes on Your Terms

If you use Netskope for far more than AI, keep it. If the AI policies were the main reason, the monthly report will show whether the gateway covers what you need.

Still have a question?

What is a Netskope alternative?

For AI data protection specifically: dedicated platforms such as Nightfall AI and Prompt Security, device tools such as dope.security, Microsoft Purview if you live in Microsoft 365, and managed services like this one.

How is Cascadia different from Netskope?

Netskope sells security software your team configures, with AI Guardrails as one layer next to its data and threat protection. We run sensitive data scanning at the AI gateway and the review that goes with it. If you need the wider coverage, Netskope is the better buy.

What does Netskope cost?

We could not find a published price, so we leave it out rather than guess (October 2026). Ours is $49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79.

What does Netskope AI Guardrails actually check?

Content moderation on prompts and responses: prompt threats, inappropriate content, hate speech, bias, weapons, and copyright or patent issues, in more than 30 languages. Its policies can Alert, Allow, Block, or show a User Alert with a coaching message. Netskope describes it as complementing its data protection rather than replacing it.

Does this need AI Gateway?

Yes. The scanning happens inside AI Gateway, so on its own Content Guardrails has nothing to read. AI Gateway is $79 a month per organization and Content Guardrails is $49 on top of it. If you want both along with Managed MCP for five people, AI Pro bundles the three for $189 a month. Netskope prices its product separately, so the honest comparison is against the two of ours together.

Do you coach users the way Netskope does?

Not in the moment. A blocked request is blocked. The coaching comes afterward, when we raise patterns with you and point out repeat offenders quietly. Netskope is stronger here.

Do you check AI replies as well as prompts?

Yes. Content Guardrails reads both what is sent and what comes back.

What do you install on our side?

Nothing on anyone’s machine. The only change is the endpoint your applications call.

Is this worth it for a small team?

A small team is usually the case for it. There is nobody whose job it is to watch what gets pasted where, and one card number in a prompt is the same problem at any size.

Who sees what was caught?

You do. The monthly report names what was caught, which application it came from, and what was blocked as against what was allowed.

How long before we see results?

Setup starts within two business days, and the first full picture arrives within a week.

What if we want to leave?

Point your applications back at the providers and the scanning stops. The records of what was caught are yours to take.
