dope.security alternative
A dope.security Alternative with Nothing on the Laptop
dope.security runs an agent on Mac and Windows that inspects AI prompts and uploads on the device, and its DLP plans are priced through sales (October 2026). We take the opposite route: scanning at the gateway, nothing installed, and a person reading the flags.
With Cascadia you get
- Nothing installed on laptops
- Every request, not a sample
- Blocked or flagged, your call
- A person reads the flags
- Profiles tuned to your data
- One price per organization

What Ships in the Standard Plan Here
With dope.security you get an agent, policies for block, warn, or monitor, and tenant controls for ChatGPT. Choosing the policies, reading the results, and talking to the people involved is your job. Here that part is ours.
- Every request through the gateway scanned, not sampled
- Card numbers, bank details, and ID numbers caught
- Prompts checked, and the replies that come back
- Blocked outright or flagged, whichever you choose
- Flagged items read by a person here every week
- False positives tuned out as your team learns
- Nothing installed on anyone’s laptop
- A monthly report of what was caught and where
- A record of each catch kept for 90 days
- Profiles that cover whatever your business defines
Where the Gateway Route Pays Off
No agent to keep current, no device left out, and somebody here reading what gets caught.
No Agent to Maintain
An on-device agent has to be installed, updated, and present on every laptop. Gateway scanning has nothing on devices, so a new hire or a rebuilt machine changes nothing.
Applications, Not Just Browsers
Requests from your own applications to AI providers pass through the gateway too, and get the same scanning as everything else.
Flags Read by a Person
Each week someone here reads what was flagged, raises patterns with you, and tunes out the false positives.
Price on the Page
$49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79. dope.security’s DLP plans are priced through a conversation.
Who This Comparison Is For
It Separates Work and Personal Accounts
dope.security can limit ChatGPT to your company tenant and block personal accounts. That is a real control we do not offer.
It Checks the Device Itself
Prompts and uploads are inspected on the laptop, with no backhaul to a data center. If your exposure is a browser tab on a company Mac, that is the right place to look.
Agents Are Work Too
Somebody has to roll the agent out and notice when it is missing. Small teams often find that part slips first.
Choose dope.security if
- You manage every laptop and want checks there
- You need personal AI accounts blocked
- You also want web filtering on the device
Choose Cascadia if
- You want nothing installed on devices
- Your AI traffic runs through applications
- You want a person reading the flags
Moving from dope.security to Gateway Scanning in Four Steps
Your part is a short conversation and someone who can change the endpoint each application calls. The agent can stay until you decide otherwise.
- 1
We Read Your Current DLP Policies
What dope.security blocks or warns on today shows us what your business treats as sensitive. Our profiles start from that.
- 2
We Switch on Scanning at the Gateway
Financial and identifier profiles go on first and get tuned to your data. Each match is set to block or to flag, according to what you choose.
- 3
We Read the First Week of Flags
A person reads every flagged item, removes the false positives, and raises any pattern with you. The first full picture arrives within a week.
- 4
The Agent Stays or Goes
If you rely on its web filtering or personal account blocking, keep it. If the AI checks were the main reason it went on, the monthly report will tell you whether the gateway covers enough.

dope.security Alternative Questions
Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.
See Content GuardrailsStill have a question?
What is a dope.security alternative?
Any other way of keeping sensitive data out of AI tools. Netskope and Microsoft Purview take a suite approach, Nightfall AI and Strac are dedicated data protection platforms, and managed services like this one scan at the gateway and do the reviewing for you.
How is Cascadia different from dope.security?
dope.security inspects prompts on each device through an agent. We inspect AI traffic at the gateway, with nothing installed, and a person reads what we catch. Different places to look, and different amounts of work left for you.
What does dope.security cost?
Its plans are SWG, SWG plus DLP, SWG plus CASB, and a full SSE+ suite, and the pricing comes from sales (October 2026). There is a free trial of the SWG plan. Ours is $49 a month per organization, plus AI Gateway at $79.
Can dope.security block personal ChatGPT accounts?
Yes. Its cloud application controls can restrict ChatGPT to your company tenant and block personal accounts. We do not do that, and if it is your main concern, dope.security is the better fit.
Does this need AI Gateway?
Yes. The scanning happens inside AI Gateway, so on its own Content Guardrails has nothing to read. AI Gateway is $79 a month per organization and Content Guardrails is $49 on top of it. If you want both along with Managed MCP for five people, AI Pro bundles the three for $189 a month. dope.security prices its product separately, so the honest comparison is against the two of ours together.
Which is better, on the device or at the gateway?
It depends where your AI use happens. A browser tab on a company laptop is best seen on the device. Requests from your applications to AI providers are better seen at the gateway.
What do you install on our side?
Nothing on anyone’s machine. The only change is the endpoint your applications call.
Do you check AI replies as well as prompts?
Yes. Content Guardrails reads both what is sent and what comes back.
Can we decide what counts as sensitive?
Yes. We start with the predefined profiles for financial and identifier data, then tune them to what your business actually handles.
Who sees what was caught?
You do. The monthly report names what was caught, which application it came from, and what was blocked as against what was allowed.
How long before we see results?
Setup starts within two business days, and the first full picture arrives within a week.
What if we want to leave?
Point your applications back at the providers and the scanning stops. The records of what was caught come with you.
