Managed Zoho Domains Services for Registrations Renewals DNS Records

Your domain is the one thing every other system depends on, and it usually gets managed by whoever set it up years ago. Managed Zoho Domains puts registration, renewals, DNS records, and domain security in one account we watch for you. We register and transfer names, keep auto renew honest, make the record changes your systems need, and lock things down so nobody moves a domain out from under you.

Domain management that does not fail quietly

What makes our managed Zoho Domains service different

A domain is the cheapest thing in your stack and the only one that takes everything else down with it. Mail, website, logins and anything signing on your behalf all hang off records most businesses touch twice a year. It costs a few dollars annually, and it is a single point of failure nobody has been made responsible for.

The specific failures are worth naming, because each one is preventable. A renewal charged to a card that expired. A transfer lock left off, which is how a hijack begins. A nameserver change made without checking what else pointed at the old ones, taking mail down along with the site. An expiry notice sent to somebody who left two years ago. Every one of those is avoided by a dull habit performed on a schedule, and together they are why a domain does not simply vanish on our watch.

Why teams stop running this themselves

Managed Zoho Domains vs running your own registrar admin

Anyone can register a domain. Keeping thirty of them renewed, pointed correctly, and locked against transfer while your systems keep changing is a different job, and it is the one that decides whether your email is working next quarter. Here is how the two approaches compare.

Getting a record changed

In house, DNS changes wait for the one person who knows the panel, and they are usually in a meeting. Under a subscription you send the request and it gets handled the same day, with the change logged and the result verified.

Renewals that depend on one card

A single expired card can take down every domain you own, and the notification email often goes to somebody who left. We verify the payment method and monitor expiry dates independently, so nothing lapses because one inbox went unread.

Domains nobody can find

Names bought over the years end up spread across registrars, personal accounts, and forgotten invoices. We inventory the lot, prove what you actually own, and consolidate it, rather than discovering the gap the week a domain expires.

Security settings left at defaults

Registrar lock, DNSSEC, and multi factor access get skipped because they are fiddly and nothing bad has happened yet. We enable them, audit them on a schedule, and treat a domain hijack as the outage it would actually be.

Growing into the rest of Zoho

A registrar has no reason to care what runs on top of your domain. We manage the wider Zoho environment, so when a mail delivery problem is really a Campaigns or CRM problem, we say so, and we flag when Zoho One costs less than adding apps one by one.

What it costs next month

Hourly help makes every small DNS request feel expensive, so people stop asking and start guessing. A flat monthly rate makes the cost predictable and puts the incentive on us to keep your domains boring rather than billable.

Built for companies that cannot afford to go dark

Who our managed Zoho Domains service fits best

Domain management stops being a five minute task once you own more than a handful of names, or once your email, website, and customer portals all hang off the same records. If nobody in your company can say what you own or where it points, this is usually the fix.

How we work with you

How our managed Zoho Domains service works

Whether you are starting with one name or untangling a portfolio somebody else built, the sequence is the same. We find out what you own, bring it into one account, then run it. Most clients are consolidated within a few weeks and stop thinking about domains after that.

1

We inventory what you actually own

We start by finding every domain connected to your business, including the ones bought on a personal card years ago and the ones nobody remembers registering. For each one we record where it is held, when it renews, who is listed as the owner, and what currently depends on it. That list is usually longer and messier than anyone expects.

2

We consolidate and secure

We transfer the names that should move into your Zoho Domains account, copying DNS records across first so nothing goes dark during the switch. Then we fix the contact details, enable auto renew with a verified payment method, and turn on registrar lock and DNSSEC. By the end you have one account, one calendar, and no guesswork.

3

We run it and keep it boring

From there you send us record changes and we make them, usually the same day. We watch expiry dates, audit the security settings on a schedule, review the activity log, and send you a monthly summary of what renews and what it costs. Domains stop being something you find out about during an outage.

Everything we manage

Complete managed Zoho Domains coverage

Cascadia Web Services logo

Domain Search & Registration

We handle the search, the availability checks, and the registration itself, so you are not comparing endings at midnight. Tell us the names you want and we register them in your Zoho Domains account with the right registrant details, privacy switched on, and auto renew already enabled from day one.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Domain Transfers In

Moving names off GoDaddy, Namecheap, or a registrar somebody left the company with is mostly paperwork and waiting. We pull the auth codes, unlock each domain, copy the DNS records across before the move so nothing drops, and confirm every transfer completes rather than stalling in limbo.
Cascadia Web Services logo

TLD Strategy & Defensive Names

Which endings are worth owning and which are a waste of budget is a judgment call, not a checkout page. We recommend the set worth registering for your brand, including the misspellings people actually type and the country endings your customers use, and we tell you plainly which ones to skip.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Registrant & WHOIS Records

A domain registered to a former employee's personal email is a problem you discover the day it expires. We keep registrant, administrative, and billing contacts pointed at roles inside your company rather than individuals, and we update them when people join or leave.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Auto-Renew Enforcement

Every domain in your account stays on auto renew, and we verify the setting is still on rather than trusting that it is. We also check the payment method on file is current, because an expired card fails just as quietly as an expired domain and costs you the same outage.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Expiry Monitoring & Alerts

We watch expiry dates across your whole portfolio and flag anything approaching its window long before redemption fees start. You hear about a renewal decision with weeks of room to make it, not on the morning your website and email both stop working at once.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Renewal Reporting & Budget

You get a monthly view of what renews when and what each name costs, so domain spend becomes a line you can plan around instead of a surprise charge. When a domain has stopped earning its place, we say so and let it go deliberately rather than by accident.
Cascadia Web Services logo

DNS Record Management

A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, SRV, and the rest get created and edited by us, with every change logged and the reason recorded. You send the request, we make the change, and nobody on your team is clicking around a DNS panel hoping they picked the right record type.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Email Records: MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC

Email authentication is where DNS mistakes get expensive fastest. We set your MX records for Zoho Mail, publish SPF and DKIM correctly, and move DMARC from monitoring toward enforcement at a pace that tightens your protection without breaking the mail you already send.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Website & Subdomain Routing

Your root domain, your www, and every subdomain point where they should, whether that is Zoho Sites, a WordPress host, a landing page tool, or an app somebody in marketing signed up for. New subdomains get configured the same week you ask for them.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Nameserver Control & Propagation

Whether you keep DNS at Zoho or delegate it elsewhere, we manage the nameserver settings and stage changes so records already exist at the new host before the switch happens. Propagation stops being frightening once the destination is fully configured in advance.
Cascadia Web Services logo

DNSSEC Setup & Monitoring

DNSSEC signs your DNS answers so they cannot be quietly forged in transit. We enable it, confirm the chain of trust validates, and watch for the key rollover problems that break resolution for a subset of your visitors without anybody inside the company noticing.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Domain Lock & Transfer Protection

Registrar lock stays on for every domain, and we check that it stays on. Combined with transfer authorization controls, that closes the route an attacker uses to move a domain out of your account before you have finished reading the notification email.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Registrar Access & MFA

Who can log in and change your DNS is a security question, not an IT convenience question. We keep access limited to named people with multi factor authentication enabled, and we remove accounts when somebody leaves rather than three months after the fact.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Change Log & Audit Review

Every DNS and registrar change is recorded, and we walk the activity log with you. If a record changed, you can see who changed it and when, which matters for troubleshooting an outage and for the security questionnaires your larger customers send you.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Portfolio Inventory & Consolidation

Most companies own more domains than they think, spread across three registrars and two credit cards. We build the full inventory, surface the names nobody remembered buying, and consolidate everything into one account with one renewal calendar and one place to look.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Ownership & Handover Documentation

Your domains, your account, your company on the registration. We document what you own, where each name points, and how access works, so a change of provider or a change of staff never turns into a recovery project run through support tickets.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Zoho Service Linking

Connecting a domain to Zoho Mail, Sites, Campaigns, Commerce, or Desk means verification records and routing that has to be right the first time. We handle the linking and the verification for each service you switch on, including the ones you add months later.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Plan & License Advisory

We tell you what your domains and Zoho subscriptions actually cost you, and when consolidating into Zoho One would come out cheaper than the apps you pay for one at a time. That advice is part of the service rather than the opening of a sales call.
Cascadia Web Services logo

Monthly Subscription Support

Your subscription covers ongoing management for up to 25 domains, including registrations, transfers, renewals, DNS changes, security settings, and service linking as your needs shift. Large bulk migrations and portfolio acquisitions are scoped separately, so your monthly cost stays predictable.

Answers to common managed Zoho Domains questions

Frequently asked questions
What is managed Zoho Domains?
Managed Zoho Domains is a monthly service where we run your domain portfolio inside Zoho Domains for you. That covers registering and transferring names, keeping renewals from lapsing, editing DNS records when your systems change, and holding the security settings that stop a domain being moved or spoofed. You own the account and the names. We do the work and stay accountable for it.
What is included in the monthly plan?
Registration and transfers, auto renew enforcement and expiry monitoring, all DNS record changes including email authentication, DNSSEC and registrar lock, WHOIS and registrant upkeep, portfolio inventory and consolidation, and linking your domains to the Zoho services you use. You also get a monthly renewal and spend report. Bulk migrations of very large portfolios are scoped as separate projects.
How much does managed Zoho Domains cost?
The managed service is $300 per month for your organization, covering up to 25 domains. That is the management fee only. The registration and renewal fees for the domains themselves are billed by Zoho at their published rates, and you see those costs directly rather than through a markup from us. Running several Zoho apps usually makes the Zoho One bundle the cheaper route.
Do I still pay for the domains themselves?
Yes. Registration and renewal fees go to Zoho Domains as the registrar, and those charges land on your Zoho billing rather than ours. We do not mark them up or resell them. Our fee covers the management work: choosing the right names, making the changes, watching the expiry dates, and keeping the security settings correct.
Can you transfer our existing domains into Zoho?
Yes, and it is one of the first things we usually do. We collect the auth codes from your current registrar, unlock each domain, and copy every DNS record into Zoho before the transfer runs so nothing goes dark during the switch. Transfers take a few days to complete at the registry level, and we track each one until it lands.
Who owns the domains?
You do. Every domain is registered to your company, in your own Zoho Domains account, with your people listed as the registrant. Nothing sits in an agency account. If you ever move to another provider or bring management in house, you keep the names, the account, and the records without needing our permission or a release process.
What happens if a domain is about to expire?
It should not get that far, because every name stays on auto renew with a verified payment method behind it. We also monitor expiry dates independently, so if a card fails or a registry hold appears, we catch it while there is still room to act. You get a renewal calendar each month showing what is coming and what it costs.
Can you manage DNS for domains registered elsewhere?
Yes. If a name has to stay at its current registrar, we can still manage the DNS by pointing the nameservers where they need to go and handling the records from there. In most cases we recommend consolidating into Zoho Domains anyway, simply because one account with one renewal calendar is far less likely to fail quietly.
How do you handle email records like SPF and DMARC?
We set the MX records for Zoho Mail, publish an SPF record that covers every service sending on your behalf, and enable DKIM signing. DMARC starts in monitoring mode so we can see what is actually sending as you, then moves to enforcement once the legitimate senders are all accounted for. Rushing that step is how companies break their own invoicing email.
What is DNSSEC and do we need it?
DNSSEC adds a cryptographic signature to your DNS answers, so a resolver can tell a genuine response from a forged one. Without it, an attacker who can interfere with DNS can send your visitors and your email somewhere else. We enable it, confirm the chain of trust validates, and monitor key rollovers, which is where DNSSEC most often breaks.
How fast do DNS changes get made?
Routine record changes are handled within one business day, and urgent changes tied to an outage or a launch get picked up immediately. The slower part is usually propagation, which is governed by the TTL on the record rather than by us. Where we know a change is coming, we lower the TTL in advance so the switch happens quickly.
How many domains does the plan cover?
Up to 25 domains at the standard monthly rate, which comfortably covers most companies including their defensive registrations and redirect names. If your portfolio is larger, we will quote based on the real count rather than pretending the standard plan fits. Portfolios that arrive through an acquisition are scoped as a separate onboarding project.
Can you connect our domain to Zoho Mail and other apps?
Yes. Linking a domain to Zoho Mail, Sites, Campaigns, Commerce, Desk, or anything else means adding verification records and getting the routing right, and we handle that for every service you turn on. When you add a new Zoho app later, the domain side of the setup is already part of what you pay for.
What happens if a domain is hijacked or transferred without permission?
Registrar lock and transfer authorization controls exist to stop that happening in the first place, and we verify both are in place on every name. If an unauthorized change is attempted, the activity log and the transfer notifications give us an early signal. We work with Zoho support on the recovery process and keep you informed while it runs.
Can you manage the rest of our Zoho apps as well?
Yes. Domains is usually the smallest piece of what a company runs on Zoho. We manage CRM, Books, Desk, Projects, Campaigns, and the rest under the same model. If you use more than a few apps, the Managed Zoho One bundle covers everything for less than stacking individual plans, and we will tell you when you cross that line.
