This Cookie Policy explains how Cascadia Web Services, LLC ("Cascadia," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on cascadiawebservices.com and our client portal, and how you can control them.
It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal information.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies that do not rely on cookies, including tracking pixels, which are small transparent images or scripts that record that a page was loaded or an action occurred, and local storage, which stores data in your browser.
First-party cookies are set by us. Third-party cookies are set by another organization whose service runs on our site, and that organization can read them across other sites where its service also runs.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off through our consent banner. They do not require consent because the site cannot operate without them.
sid - first party - session identifier that maintains your session and signed-in state - expires after 24 hours.
user_id - first party - identifies the signed-in user, or holds "Guest" for visitors - session.
full_name - first party - displays the signed-in user's name in the interface - session.
system_user - first party - indicates whether the session belongs to an administrative user - session.
user_image - first party - stores a reference to the signed-in user's profile image - session.
Cloudflare security cookies - third party (Cloudflare, Inc.) - used for bot detection, traffic routing, and protection against malicious activity - varies, typically up to 30 days.
Enzuzo consent record - third party (Enzuzo) - records your cookie preferences so you are not asked again on every page - typically 12 months.
We use analytics to understand how our website is used and where to improve it.
Ahrefs Analytics - third party (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.) - measures page views, referral sources, and aggregate visitor counts. Ahrefs Analytics is a privacy-oriented service that does not set cookies, does not use fingerprinting, and does not track individuals across websites.
We also receive aggregated search performance data through Google Search Console. This reports how our pages appear in search results and does not involve cookies placed on your device by us.
Because our analytics does not set cookies or identify you individually, it operates without a consent requirement in most jurisdictions.
These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads. They are switched off by default for visitors in regions requiring prior consent, and are enabled only if you accept them.
Meta Pixel - third party (Meta Platforms, Inc.) - records page views and conversion events on our website and transmits them to Meta for advertising measurement, retargeting, and audience building. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you if you have a Meta account. Associated cookies typically include _fbp, set for up to 90 days, and Meta may read the fr cookie set on its own domains.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws, this transmission may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and may fall within the broad statutory definition of "sale." You can opt out using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer or through our cookie preference centre.
To control how Meta uses information for advertising more generally, review the ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
Our consent banner. When you first visit, our consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the "Consent Preferences" link in our website footer. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already occurred.
Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control and similar browser-based opt-out signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where technically feasible.
Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will prevent parts of our website and client portal from working, including staying signed in.
Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org, and in Europe through youronlinechoices.eu. These are cookie-based and must be reapplied if you clear cookies or change browsers.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website changes and as third parties revise their own technologies. Cookie names, purposes, and lifetimes set by third parties may change without notice to us. The current version is always posted here with the date of last update shown at the top.
