An Agorapulse Alternative for Teams Who Just Ran Into the Eleventh Profile

Agorapulse holds all three of its paid tiers to ten social profiles, so paying more does not raise the number and the eleventh profile means a sales call. What none of the tiers include is the person who decides what you post about this quarter, writes it, and is still writing it in month nine. We do that part, for Zoho Social, at five hundred dollars a month for the whole organisation.
What each Agorapulse tier changes, and what it does not
Three tiers, one profile ceiling shared between them, and an empty calendar
Agorapulse prints its prices and its feature grid more legibly than anybody else here, including what you save by paying annually. Standard is seventy nine dollars a user a month on annual billing or ninety nine monthly, Professional is one hundred and nineteen or one hundred and forty nine, and Advanced is one hundred and forty nine or one hundred and ninety nine. None of it says who writes Thursday's post.

Every paid tier stops at ten social profiles

Standard, Professional and Advanced all connect ten social profiles. Not fifteen, not twenty, ten on each of them, which means the extra seventy dollars a user between the bottom tier and the top buys features and not capacity. Unlimited profiles exist only on the Custom plan, and Custom means a conversation with sales rather than a price you can read.
Icon representing ROI reporting held to the third tier

The ROI reporting sits on the top published tier

Custom date comparison ranges, advanced report exporting and the advanced social media ROI report are what Agorapulse marks as Advanced, at one hundred and forty nine dollars a user a month against seventy nine. If somebody upstairs wants this quarter set against last, or a return figure they can act on, that is the tier, and it is nearly twice the entry price for every seat.

Custom roles and a named contact mean a sales call

Custom roles and permissions, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, one to one training, quarterly business reviews, priority support and AI powered reply suggestions are all on the Custom plan, alongside the unlimited profiles. Custom carries no published figure, so the three prices you can read are the three that do not include any of that.
Legible pricing, and a calendar still empty
We have no complaint about this product and are not going to invent one
Agorapulse publishes the clearest feature grid on this hub, tells you in dollars what annual billing saves, and defines its own terms rather than leaving you to guess: a user is somebody on your team, a profile is one connected account. That is a vendor being straight with you. What follows is about the one thing a clear grid still cannot cover.

Cascadia

An eleventh profile, a twentieth profile and a fortieth, all on the same monthly figure.

Without Cascadia

Ten profiles, four of them posted to, and a tier upgrade that would not have raised the ten.

Comparison

Cascadia vs Agorapulse
Agorapulse sells you a clear, capable dashboard and the seats to sit in it. What can actually be compared is who does the posting and the answering afterwards. Everything in the Cascadia column is part of Managed Zoho Social at one flat monthly figure.

Somebody chooses what the quarter is about before a single post is drafted

The posts written for your business, not a composer handed over for you to fill

A regular look at which profiles still deserve the effort, and which should close

An eleventh profile changes nothing on the invoice and requires no phone call

The writer who learned your business in week one is the one still writing in month fourteen

A post that lands badly stopped in review rather than explained afterwards

Engagement and response time treated as somebody's responsibility, not a monthly chart

The public comment and the customer record are already in the same system

A straight no on the first call if you have somebody who posts every week already

Publishing rules, monitoring and alerts configured for you rather than offered to you

Where Agorapulse fits

If ten profiles covers you and somebody on your team will work the inbox and fill the calendar, Agorapulse is a straightforward yes and one of the better buys in this category. Nothing on this page argues otherwise.

Where the licence ends and the posting begins

We exist for the company on Professional with ten profiles connected, four of which have anything recent on them. The dashboard is clear and correct. The posting is what stopped.

Where Agorapulse is strong

Icon representing the clearest feature grid on this hub
The clearest pricing page in this whole category
Both the monthly and the annual price for every tier, the dollar saving spelled out, a full feature grid with ticks and crosses, and a definition of what a user and a profile actually mean. One vendor on this hub renders its prices only in the browser. Agorapulse simply prints them.
Icon representing the lowest per seat entry price among the seat priced rivals
The cheapest seat of any platform on this hub
Seventy nine dollars a user a month on annual billing is the lowest seat price of any platform compared here, and it comes with the same ten profiles the top tier gets. For a small team that fits inside ten profiles, that is very hard to argue with, and we are not going to try.
Icon representing a platform shaped for an agency managing several brands
It is shaped for agencies and teams that already post daily
Ten profiles across three tiers, per user pricing and a strong inbox make most sense for a team or an agency where several people are already in the tool every day. Agorapulse assumes that team exists. Where it does, this is a very good place to put them.
Icon representing training and business reviews offered on the Custom plan
They agree that somebody has to be trained to run it
One to one training, quarterly business reviews and a dedicated Customer Success Manager are real parts of the Custom plan, which is Agorapulse agreeing that the software alone does not finish the job. What they are offering is help for your people. What we are offering is the person.
None of that is padding, and if Agorapulse is in place with somebody working it daily, it is very likely the right home for your channels. What no dashboard does is decide what your business ought to be saying. Every feature in that grid waits for a person on your side to pick the subject, write it in your voice, and answer what arrives. Holding that job is separate from buying the seats, and it is the job our Managed Zoho work exists to do.

What five hundred a month buys with no profile ceiling attached

Icon representing one fee with no profile ceiling underneath it
One figure, and no ceiling on how many profiles it covers
Channel connection and permissions, the content calendar and the publishing queue, approval workflows, monitoring and inbox triage, brand and competitor listening, the reporting, and the wiring into CRM, Campaigns, Desk and Analytics. Five hundred a month whether you run six profiles or twenty six.
Icon representing the seventh seat crossing a flat management fee
The seventh seat is where their licence passes our fee
Standard is seventy nine dollars a user a month on annual billing. Six seats is four hundred and seventy four and seven is five hundred and fifty three, so the seventh is where they pass us. On Advanced at one hundred and forty nine it happens at the fourth. Below those points they are cheaper and we will say so, and at either point nobody has written Thursday's post yet.
Icon representing a named writer instead of a quarterly business review
A writer rather than a quarterly business review
A dedicated Customer Success Manager helps your people use the software better. That is a real thing and worth having. What we provide instead is the person who does the work, and they are the same person in month fourteen as in week one.
Icon representing a comment that lands beside the customer record
The comment lands where the customer record already is
Zoho Social writes into CRM, Campaigns, Desk and Analytics directly. A question asked under a post can create a lead and a complaint can raise a ticket, without a second system and without anybody retyping anything.
Agorapulse may well be exactly right for you. If ten profiles is plenty and somebody is already in it daily, it usually is, and that is a thing we would rather establish on the call than afterwards.

Onboarding process

What the first sixty days look like when the profiles finally get counted

Most of the work is ours. Every product on this hub will publish reliably and report on it afterwards. What goes wrong is everything arranged around that, so that is where the first two months go.

1

Nothing gets published until we know which profiles are worth keeping

A ten profile ceiling is only a constraint if all ten are worth having. We go through them with you and ask what each one is for. More often than not two or three have no answer, which turns a ceiling problem into a tidying problem, and that conversation is free.

2

We count the profiles, the people with access and the ones nobody claims

Agorapulse separates users from profiles cleanly, which makes this easy to audit and awkward to look at. Ten profiles, four people with seats, and usually one account whose password lives with somebody who left in the spring. The last group is the one that causes trouble.

3

The subjects, the voice and the reply times get written down

What each profile is for, how often it posts and in whose voice, how quickly a comment gets answered, and who owns that. Agreed once, in writing, rather than settled by whoever happens to be looking at the inbox that afternoon.

4

You run a full month on it, across every profile that survived the count

The first month runs with us alongside it. Anything that reads wrong gets changed while we are still there, rather than settling in as a habit nobody remembers choosing.

Testimonials

Don't Take Our Word For It

Two situations where the licence was correct and the account was not
Neither of these is a client story. Both are situations we have watched happen. Frappe publishes nothing resembling a social tool, so we will not pretend there is a migration path for the posting, but when the customer records under these conversations outgrow a Zoho estate the place they belong is managed Frappe CRM, and we would rather flag that early than sell you a fit with an end date on it.
Hands checking figures on a calculator against a stack of invoices

How this plays out

An upgrade bought to raise a ceiling that did not move

They hit ten profiles, assumed the next tier up would allow more, and moved four seats from Standard to Professional. The profile count stayed at ten, because it is ten on every paid tier, and the bill went up by a hundred and sixty a month for features nobody had asked for. The pricing page says this plainly. Nobody had read that row.
A stack of paperwork with no order anybody could follow

When this comes up

Four of the ten profiles, and nobody able to say what they were for

A thirty person company was at its ten profile limit and about to call sales about the Custom plan. Going through the list took twenty minutes. Two profiles were from a rebrand three years earlier, one was a personal account somebody had connected by mistake, and one was for a product that no longer exists. Closing four of them ended the ceiling problem for nothing.
500

Dollars a month for the organisation, with no ceiling on the profile count

Everything from the first count of your profiles to the calendar rewritten a year in. Your Zoho Social licence is bought in your own name and sits separately from this.
0

Dollars charged for the eleventh profile, or the twelfth, or the thirtieth

The profile count, the calendar, the approvals, the listening, the migration and the revisions all sit inside the monthly figure. Connecting a new network in March does not change it and does not need a call.
4-8

Weeks, typically, from the profile count to a calendar running on its own

Four to eight weeks in most cases, and longer where profile access is spread across several people and one of them is no longer at the company.

Agorapulse alternative and managed Zoho Social FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Agorapulse compare to Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Buffer?
Buffer is far cheaper and meters per channel at five dollars rather than per person. Hootsuite runs ninety nine, one hundred and ninety nine and three hundred and ninety nine a seat. Sprout runs seventy nine to three hundred and ninety nine a seat and quotes the listening on top. Agorapulse is the cheapest per seat of the three that charge per seat, at seventy nine on annual billing, and the only one holding every paid tier to the same ten profiles. All four will publish a post. None of them writes it.
Does a higher Agorapulse tier give you more profiles?
No, and this is the row people miss. Standard, Professional and Advanced all connect ten social profiles. The higher tiers buy reporting, exports and permissions rather than capacity. Unlimited profiles exist only on the Custom plan, which is quoted rather than published.
What does Agorapulse actually cost?
Standard is seventy nine dollars a user a month on annual billing or ninety nine month to month, Professional is one hundred and nineteen or one hundred and forty nine, and Advanced is one hundred and forty nine or one hundred and ninety nine. They print the annual saving in dollars as well, at two hundred and forty, three hundred and sixty and six hundred a year. Custom is quoted.
Which Agorapulse capabilities sit on the higher tiers?
Advanced is where custom date comparison ranges, advanced report exporting and the advanced social media ROI report arrive. Custom is where unlimited profiles, custom roles and permissions, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, one to one training, quarterly business reviews, priority support and AI powered reply suggestions arrive. Social profile reports are on every tier.
What is not on the feature grid at all?
Whether the ten profiles you are allowed are ten profiles worth keeping. What your business should be saying next month. Whether the audience has heard it before. Who replies to the comment that lands at nine on a Friday night. None of that is a row anybody can tick. It is a job somebody has to hold.
We already pay for Agorapulse. Why would I pay you five hundred a month on top?
Often you should not, and we would rather say it here than after a contract. Where somebody is already in the inbox each day and filling the calendar, we would be selling you a duplicate. Call us when the profiles start going quiet one at a time, which is how this usually begins.
At what point does Agorapulse stop being the cheaper answer?
At the seventh Standard seat. Six seats at seventy nine is four hundred and seventy four and seven is five hundred and fifty three, against our five hundred. On Advanced at one hundred and forty nine it happens at the fourth seat. Below those points they cost less and we will say so. The two figures are not the same kind of thing: theirs is software, ours is somebody writing and answering, and the Zoho Social licence is bought separately in your name.
Is Agorapulse metered on people or on profiles?
Both, and they are unusually clear about the difference. A user is somebody on your team and a profile is one connected account, in their own words. You pay per user per month, and the account is held to ten profiles on every paid tier regardless of how many users you buy.
Is Agorapulse a better product than Zoho Social?
As a standalone social suite the inbox is stronger and the reporting is more finished, and we would rather say that than argue it. Zoho Social wins on two narrower points. It sits inside the estate where your customers, your tickets and your campaigns already live, and it does not hold you to ten profiles. Bought from us it also arrives with somebody to run it.
Does Zoho Social connect to the rest of Zoho?
That is the main reason to choose it. Social writes into CRM, Campaigns, Desk and Analytics directly, so somebody asking a buying question under a post becomes a lead on the contact record and a complaint can raise a ticket, with no integration to buy.
What exactly do you do for five hundred a month?
We count and connect the profiles and set the permissions, agree with you what each one is for, build and fill the content calendar, set up the approval workflow, monitor the streams and triage the inbox, run the brand and competitor listening, build the reporting, and wire it into CRM, Campaigns, Desk and Analytics. The figure covers the organisation and does not move when you add a profile.
Who holds the Zoho Social licence, you or us?
You do, and that is deliberate. The Social subscription is bought in your name and stays there. If you stop working with us you keep the account, every connected profile and the whole posting history, and you carry on. Zoho Assist is the only service where we carry the licence.
Can you move us off Agorapulse?
Yes, and the profile count comes first for a reason. Reconnecting ten profiles is mechanical. Establishing that only six of them deserve to be reconnected is the part that changes what happens next, and it is the part a straight migration skips.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Five hundred a month, month to month, thirty days notice. The Agorapulse figures quoted here are the annual billing rates, and their own page shows the monthly rate is higher, so compare the commitment as well as the number.
What if we are five people and six profiles?
Then buy two or three Standard seats and keep your five hundred dollars. At that size Agorapulse is comfortably the better buy and one person can hold the whole thing in their head. Come back when they cannot.
What happens if we outgrow Zoho?
Some do, and it is rarely about volume. It shows up as separate business units needing their own approval chains, or a legal requirement to keep an auditable record of everything published. We will name that ceiling before you meet it and move the customer data on to Frappe rather than defend a fit that has stopped working.
